DIY Parisian Message Board
As Summer is slowly coming to an end I have been thinking about little gifts that might be fun to make for the holidays…birthday’s…teacher’s and just because. So today i have an EZ Peazy little craft for you. I used a vintage Greetings from Paris postcard but you can use any of the amazing graphics here on The Graphics Fairy. Pick an image that fits the personality of the person that you are making it for. It makes a great little gift any time of year. Here is my little Parisian Message Board oh and by the way…you can make a big one too!
All you need is your image, a board or foam core cut to the same size, some Modge Podge, brushes, glitter, clothespins and paint.
Sand your board and give it a nice coat of paint and allow to dry/ You can then give in a very light sanding if you would like.
Trim your image and then apply it to the board and allow to dry. You can also give your graphic a coating or two of Modge Podge for extra protection.
Now paint your clothespins.
Now it is time to break out the glitter if you would like…you don’t have to but I thought a little glitz was fitting for this fun vintage graphic! Apply a little dab of paint on the areas that you would like to highlight…sprinkle with glitter…allow to dry and then tap the excess glitter off. Then if you wouldl ike to tip the clothespins in glitter…simply brush on the Modge Podge to the tip…dip the clothespin in the glitter…tap off excess and allow to dry. It’s that easy. Now just glue the clothespins onto the board…add a large magnet on the back if you are using it on the fridge or a little hanger for the wall. You can even drill two holes on either side and string ribbon through it to hang it…any way you choose will look fabulous.
Hope you enjoyed this simple and easy craft. Have fun leaving little notes to everyone in the family!
I want to thank Karen once again for giving me the honor to share creative ideas with all of you wonderful readers.
