Free Winter Fonts

Free Winter Fonts

Last January, Emily posted a set of five fonts for your winter craft projects, on my Craft Blog. Since I am no longer using that blog, I wanted to post these over here so that they don’t get lost! I hope you enjoy her selections and stay tuned for a new set coming this month for 2014! Thanks for reading! Karen

Free Winter Fonts

Hi all it’s Emily again, with another set of free fonts. These fonts would work well for scrapbooking projects, invitations, and paper crafts.   We tried to picked a variety again this month, selecting a very pretty calligraphy font, a fanciful font, two tried and true fonts that work well on stationary, and a fantastic snowflake dingbat.

Here are the five picks for January 2013. To download a font, click on the hyperlinked words below each font example. The link will take you to a site that offers a free download of the font.*

Please note we have deleted the link to this font for now, as we had a report that there was an issue with this download.

Not sure how to download a font to your PC?  You may enjoy this post.

We used The Graphics Fairy’s Little Girl Dressed for Winter image to accompany the font picks.  All of the snowflakes were made using the Faux Snow font.  Speaking of snowflakes, Karen also has a bunch of vintage snowflake images on The Graphics Fairy blog, so be sure to check those out.

Happy New Year everyone!

Emily

*A note about downloading, installing & using fonts:
There are a lot of sites out there that offer free fonts.  Some are set
up mostly to display ads, and others take you to suspicious files &
links.  Even some legitimate sites run confusing ads that feature images that say “download”, when it’s for another product.  While we don’t recommend one free font website over another, we
have tried to link to the more straightforward sites to make finding
the font easier for you.  If you click on anything that looks like an application or .exe file, stop, it’s not what you want, and is probably malware.  Don’t forget to follow the site’s specific
directions to download and install the font.  If you are a crafter and
will be selling your work, please be sure to read any files or
information that comes with the font.  Some fonts have restrictions on
the commercial use of a font for mass production quantities and on the
sharing / redistribution of the font file itself.

  1. Emily – thank you, thank you, thank you for these wonderful fonts. A few months ago I had to have my hard drive reformatted :( and even though I had it carefully backed up for some reason not all of the fonts were restored and I have been in the process of trying to find replacements and these are great. Thank you again. j.

  2. Thank you! I especially love Great Vibes!

  3. Teddee Grace says:

Love these, but my computer won’t allow me to download the font installer. Any suggestions?

  4. My situation is similar to JoJo’s. I’ve lost a great many of my old downloaded fonts, but my loss was due to the theft of my computer! Ugh!

So, I thank you for taking not only the trouble of finding usable, decent fonts, but making them available through your website.

    THANKS!

  5. Great fonts. Thank you!

  6. I don’t understand how to use these. Can I get some help? All I see is a sentence using the font Thank you

      Hi Donna,
Thank you for letting me know, that is very odd, that site is extremely trustworthy. I’m wondering if they have an issue that they don’t know about?! I will delete the link for now just in case. In the meantime, go to a site called malwarebytes.org they have free tools that you can download to clean up malware that may have gotten on to your site, and to help protect it too.
      I hope that helps!
