This morning’s reader feature is this Gorgeous Cutting Board, submitted by our friend Nancy Watson. First she cleaned the plastic cutting board, painted it with one coat of charcoal paint, and then two coats of white paint leaving the edges with some charcoal to give it a distressed look. Once the paint was dry, she printed out the French Roses Graphic that she used, and brushed Mod Podge onto the image. Nancy then transferred the image by pressing it face down onto the board, and made sure there were no bubbles. After letting it dry overnight, she wet the paper and scraped it away. To finish this project off she used a clear wax for protection. This would make a great housewarming gift!
This is such a fabulous project! Thank you, Nancy, for sharing your talents with us! To visit more of Nancy’s projects, please visit her Facebook site here. To learn how to transfer images yourself, visit the Transfer Methods Page.
