Hi everyone, it’s Andrea from The Cottage Market. Sure hope all of you are enjoying the Holiday Season and getting everything you need to get done! If you have a few minutes…I have a quick and easy DIY Candle projects for you…DIY Candles with Vintage Images! The best part is is that you can make these for any occasions or holiday just by choosing the perfect vintage image here at The Graphics Fairy. Since we are in the midst of the Winter Holidays I chose these pretty little bunnies and foxes…how precious are they! Wait till you see how simple these are to put together.
You will need:
a Jar or Vase…any size you would like (I got both of mine at the $1 Store), Scissors, Epson Salts, Ribbons, Trims, Decorative Punch (optional), a candle or tea light candle for the smaller ones, glue and of course your sized printed image of choice.
Cut your image out to size…
then punch the decorative edges if you want to!
Then simply slide the image into the jar with a tiny piece of tape as reinforcement…fill with Epson Salts…snug your candle in…
add your trim…you bows and embellishments and voila…your candle is ready!
You can use a pretty ribbon and place around the rim and top it off with a pretty double bow!
You can create tiny votive candles with 4 ounce mason jars…use some pretty trim plus ribbon and a bow!
There are so many possibilities…so many shapes and sizes to use…so many images to feature…so many ribbons…trims and embellishments to use. Just let your imagination go wild and create something special all year round with this basic DIY!
Hope you have tons of fun creating! If I don’t see you before …here’s wishing you all a FABULOUS Holiday Season! If you want to stop by and see what I am up to …you will find me at The Cottage Market…it’s where I hang out! HUGS…andrea

What is the reason for the Epson salts? Is it just for looks? Could you melt some wax to put over the salts to hold them in place? I’m just wondering about wrapping them since I have to mail most of my gifts.
Karen Watson says
The Epsom salts just give a snow like appearance, nice for the Holidays! Maybe you could put the salts in a bag and let the recipient add them to the jar themselves?

These are lovely! Do you think it would work to use the bunny on an iron on transfer to make a dish towel? The bunnies are adorable!
Karen Watson says
Hi Patti, yes it would! Here’s a tutorial for you https://thegraphicsfairy.com/union-jack-shield-pillow-iron-on-transfer-printable/
