Today’s reader feature are these fun DIY Father’s Day Coasters, which were submitted by Michelle. Wanting to make a gift for Dad, she used an old pallet, and cut these square blocks to size. Then, she decided to put a twist on these coasters by adding a BOTTLE OPENER on the bottom! This is so clever!
Next, she used graphics from The Graphics Fairy, including the Vintage Bicycle, and made custom images to transfer to the front of her coasters. Using the Mod Podge method, she transferred the images. Lastly, she added three coats of heat resistant polyurethane to protect the coasters.
These turned out so great – what a neat idea and a totally cool gift for Father’s Day! Thank you, Michelle, for sharing these with us today! To see her step by step tutorial and other projects, visit her blog. To learn how to transfer images yourself, visit the Transfer Methods Page.
