Today’s reader feature is just in time for summer – these DIY Nautical Canisters are perfect for every BBQ or summer entertaining. Doreen submitted these to us, and after finding the outdated floral canisters at a local thrift store (see picture below), she wanted to transform them! First, she painted them with various blue shades of chalk paint. Then, she used the Compass, Anchor, and Seashell graphics and transferred them to the fronts of the canisters using the freezer paper method. Lastly she embellished the lids with twine.
