Hi everyone, how are you. It’s Andrea from The Cottage Market and I am here today to share a little Thanksgiving Crafts with you. The day of thanks and feasting is almost here and I thought you might like these quick and easy DIY Thanksgiving Place Cards. The best thing is you can use them year to year because the base block is painted with chalkboard paint. So if someone can’t make it or there is a new member in the family…no problem writing a new name! I used this cute little Pilgrim but of course you can use any image you would like. I had them laminated so in case they get a little dirty they can be wiped off with ease. You can get the whole sheet of imaged printed and laminated for $1.00 at your local Office Supply store..it’s so worth it! Let me show you how to make these little cuties.
Here is what you will need: Chalkboard Paint (spray or brush), your images sized, scissors, a paint brush, your favorite craft glue, glitter and a block of 1/2 inch 2″X4″ mdf, wood or even foam core.
Simply cut your images out as close as you can get to the lines…the tighter the better.
Now it is time to sand and painted you chalkboard blocks.
If you want a little glam…just paint the corners with your favorite craft glue and sprinkle with glitter. Allow it to dry for a minute and then shake the excess off.
Now it is time to assemble by just gluing the image onto the block…
Now it is time to give this block a name!
Time to set the table and enjoy your festive celebration!
Now was that simple or what! Just think how many different ways you can use this simple idea…Dinner Parties, Birthdays, Weddings, Anniversaries, All kinds of Parties and so much more! Guess what…The Graphics Fairy has images for all of those occasions and that will make things even easier! Hope you enjoy. I will see you soon with more Holiday Quick & Easy DIY Projects but till then…if you want to drop by to say hi…I will be hanging out at The Cottage Market…so come and visit any time!
