TGIF, eh? That means it’s time for another DIY project – yay! This week I’m sharing how to make a vintage inspired bunting using bottle images – although you can use any images, this collection of 5 bottles were just meant to be together. They’re actually two different sets of images found over on The Graphics Fairy – Bottle Set 1 & Bottle Set 2
I started by printing out the images onto fabric, just like for the printed pillow. Make sure you have space around them to cut out your triangles. See those little triangles? There’s two of them, one for the printed fabric, and one for a burlap backer. I used them as a pattern to make them all even.
For the patterns, I cut a 5 inch square and a 6 inch square, then on each one I found the mid point on one side, used a ruler to make a line from the opposite side corner to the middle mark – from each opposite corner. Then I used a rotary cutter and guide ruler to make a clean even cut.
All that’s left to do is hang it up! I love the frayed edges and pretty bottles together. But you could also do it with words, crowns, birds, the sky is definitely the limit!
See ya next week with another DIY project – in the mean time I hope you’ll stop by over at The Shabby Creek Cottage & say hello 🙂
