Today’s reader feature is this cute Flamingo Stool, submitted by our friend Kali Endo Shivaree. This stool was damaged from always being left outside, so Kali wanted to give it a second chance. First she sanded the whole stool, removed the legs, and painted it with a white primer. She then painted the bottom of the legs with a copper color, and copper dots onto the top of the table. Kali transferred my fabulous flamingo, and vintage green leaf image using a decoupage technique after she printed and cut out the images. For her final step she sprayed it with a clear protector so that the stool will stay nice for a long time. This is such a beautiful transformation!!
Thank you Kali for sharing your talents with us! To visit more of Kali’s projects, please visit her site here. To learn how to transfer images yourself, visit the Transfer Methods Page.
