Today’s reader feature is this lovely French Postal Dresser, submitted by our friend Debbie Pearl. She first used a dark warm yellow colored primer, and then two coats of a warm silver by Modern Masters Metallic, which turns out to look like a soft gold. Once the metallic was dry, Debbie painted the dresser with a classic white chalk paint. She transferred the French Roses Graphic by printing it on transfer paper, using an overhead projector, and tracing it with a water pencil onto the dresser. Debbie then colored in the image using two coats of metallic gold paint, and added a grey for lowlights in the design. Next, she sanded the edges and trim to add a distressed look. For her final step she sealed the dresser with Modern Masters Dead Flat Varnish. This is such a beautiful piece!
