Today’s reader feature are these Gorgeous French Wooden Birds, submitted by our friend Rose Nicolas. Rose used my Swallow image, French Handwriting, Beautiful Mermaid, and Vintage crown with cross image to create these wooden birds. First she traced the shape of my swallow image onto a piece of plywood. Next, she cut them out using a jigsaw or a scroll saw depending on the size. Rose then sanded the edges, painted the bird shapes in different colors, and added the beautiful french writing and images she chose. She used a dark wax, and an aging dust to create the aged look that she wanted. For her final step she added silver sparkle glitter glue, and rhinestone trim. These would look great hanging on any wall!!

Loved these! Does Rose have a blog for more detailed instructions or does she sell on Etsy?
