This is another antique Natural History print, circa 1830’s, of some gorgeous birds! I’m not familiar with this bird at all, according to the caption, this is a Rose Colored Pastor, and it is such a lovely shade of pink! Such a wonderful piece of early ephemera. it’s a Lilac-breasted Roller. They are native to East Africa (you see them all the time on safari in kenya.) They eat insects and have a great cheerful attitude. The color is really a startling turquoise with black, lilac and green. One of the most lovely birds in Africa, which is saying a lot! thanks for this great image!

Love these birds!
FYI- These are not Lilac Breasted Rollers. (I live in South Africa and have thus seen many Lilac Breasted rollers. These are Rosy Starlings, as Corliss said.
