The sun was out, which meant I could get some much lighter photos of my Dining Room, then the first batch that I took!
I layered my tabletop with Burlap and Lace and I love the contrast! The tablecloth is an antique lace cloth, it’s actually rectangular in shape. You really don’t have to have a round tablecloth for a round table, particularly when you are layering like this. Just use it as an underskirt, it will be asymmetrical, but that adds some interest to your setting. It doesn’t have to be perfect to look good! I added the burlap, and used it as an extra wide runner. I picked up a whole roll of burlap at Ace Hardware, for under $16. I just left the width alone and cut the length so that it went almost to the floor. I had enough left over to do the burlap garland on my tree and wrap the base of the tree with too, so this went roll went a long way!
Here you can see the back of the table with the lace and burlap combo.
I found this fabulous wood tree section in my friend Candace’s booth at Chartreuse. If you live in a wooded area, you may be able to make one of these yourself. It makes a wonderful rustic riser! The Mossy Deer came from Target, I got a pair of them.
I created these Moss Napkin Rings, if you missed the Tutorial, you can find it HERE. I used Ironstone plates for my dishes and some Antique Pearl Handled Utensils for the silverware, I love the look of those! I also used 4 Vintage Silverplate Trays as Chargers. I wanted something a little different and I loved the sparkle of them, each tray is unique. I don’t like things too matchy matchy, so that works for me!
This is what I used for the Moss Placemats. I picked up these Moss Mats at Walmart, you can also find them online. I didn’t have to cut them or anything, they were just the right size and I think they would be cute for a Spring or Easter table too!
This is the Antique Gold Pier Mirror that used to be in my Grandparents home. It’s one of my favorite things in my house and the gold is especially nice this time of year. The Gold Angel wing came from my friend Amy’s space at Lucketts Store. It’s not old, but it has a great look to it!
Nestled between the two windows in our Dining Room is this gorgeous Antique Religious Print of the Virgin Mary. The gold leaf frame has such an unusual shape to it! This one was also from my friend Amy’s space.
I collect old Silverplate pieces, like the two pitchers above. I really like how they look with the silver leaf garland on the China Cabinet.
This little side table, has more Antique Silver and Moss. I created the Moss Orbs using a surprising material for the bases! You can find the Tutorial HERE. Well that’s all for today, just one more room to share, I hope to have it posted in the next few days. Thanks for visiting!
