These are 2 very early Natural History Prints from a circa 1754 Encyclopedia. They have some wonderful Seashell Engravings on them. There are a few fun Steampunk looking elements on these too, as well as some flowers. I’ve created some High Res Instant Art Printable for you and I split out a couple of the Shells as well.
I LOVE your “Natural History” pages that you share with us- always informative AND beautiful. This is going to sound corny- but I’m being completely truthful…I swear I was just thinking the other day that there are very few flowers I don’t know by sight, and was reminded that I have NO idea what a “cowslip” looks like!! NOW I DO! LOL! Thank you so much Karen for all the PERFECT art that you share with us! love, Sherilyn PS (WHAT is Snow thinking, breaking outta jail?? I can’t wait ’till next week’s Once Upon a Time! lol!)
Sherilyn, Shhh! LOL! I haven’t watched the last episode yet! I recorded it, but it’s been a busy week, I’m hoping to watch it this weekend. ๐ So glad you enjoyed the Cowslip, now I know who to ask if I need flower info!
Thanks so much Karen. I had shells in l/r last summer but have the birds in there now. Guess I might be changing to the shells again later on. I have the wonderful French sayings I put on muslin then put on framed material in a big frame on l/r wall. Think for now I’m going to be putting the shells on the guest bathroom wall since I don’t have any art on those walls. You are so generous and seem to know what we’re all looking for.
