Hey my little Fairies, it’s Jade from Jaderbomb.com!
Today it’s all about flowers, mushrooms and brown paper bags! I wanted to show you how to take an everyday object like an empty tub of gatorade and convert it into a beautiful botanical Mushroom planter.
Let’s get started on our recycled craft planter!
You will Need:
*Brown and White Glitter
Make a Recycled Craft Mushroom Planter
1. Print this Mushroom out. I always print on card stock to make sure the paper is sturdy. The last thing you want is a nice image on flimsy paper. Cut your mushrooms out on the lines. I used regular scissors for this but if you have small craft scissors you can use them.
2. Tear your brown bag into small pieces. I tore them with my hands so the edges were rugged. Do not use scissors to tear your bag.
3. Now that you have a pile of torn paper bags you will start by applying a coat of Mod Podge onto the empty container. Once coated start placing brown paper bags on top of wet Mod Podge. Apply another layer of Mod Podge on top of paper bag.
4. When you have finished covering the entire container with your paper bags place your cut out mushrooms on top of them. Apply another coat of Mod Podge on top of the cut out mushroom. Sprinkle glitter on the mushroom while the Mod Podge is wet.
Let DRY. Once dry you can plant your favorite house plant in it! This would be great gift if someone is sick, birthday or a housewarming present!
