Tonight’s reader feature is this awesome Refinished French Milk Can, which was submitted by Joy. She bought this great vintage milk can at a local flea market, and it was brick red. Although she loved the way it looked in its natural state, it was just a little different than how she wanted it. First, Joy lightly sanded the metal milk can and then applied two coats of chalk paint. Using sandpaper she lightly distressed the can to created the perfect rustic yet refined look. She transferred the French Grain Sack image onto the can using the citra-Solv technique, then sealed the can with a layer of clear wax.
This Refinished French Milk Can turned out so gorgeous! Thank you, Joy, for sharing your project with us! To see more of Joy’s work, visit her Instagram page. To learn how to transfer images yourself, visit the Transfer Methods Page.
