Today’s reader feature was submitted by Nona, who shared these awesome Reupholstered French Chairs. After years of using them with the original upholstery (see before picture below), she decided it was time to recover them. She found some painters drop cloth fabric to cover the seats, and then selected the French Garden and Paris Graphics. To transfer, she copied each graphic reverse image onto freezer paper, printed with her inkjet printer, and then cut to size. She dampened the fabric and carefully laid the graphic face down onto the fabric, taping to secure it from sliding. Then she rubbed the back with the back of a spoon. Before removing the paper, she ran an iron (no steam), over the image. When it was cool, she carefully removed the paper and “VOILA” new chairs. This project turned out fabulous!
