wanted something 4th of July related. Hopefully this Lady Liberty will do.Girl from the N. Country requested some Astrology Symbols, these come from an old Almanac.
Lynn was hoping for a Porch Swing. This was as close as I could come up with for now. A wonderful Faux Bois Bench.
And lastly, One Blessed Mama was wishing for a vintage map of the U.S. for her son’s room. This one comes from an old Geography book.
Well, that’s all for this week. Do you have a request for an image? If so please leave it here in the comments section of my Request Day post, and then check back on Thursday to see if I found your requested image (Sorry but I can’t fill every request, I usually pick a few each week). Each week I go back and check under my Thursday posts to find what your looking for, it’s so much easier for me that way. I’m afraid I’m a very disorganized Fairy, so please, please please Do Not email requests to me I most likely will loose it. So sorry but I’m a complete mess when it comes to email! I’m afraid they’re just aren’t enough hours in the day to answer them all, and then I feel horribly guilty.
P.S. Don’t forget to use the search box here on my blog, you might find that the image you want is already here!

I love your blog! So many beautiful pictures. In the begining when I found it I just saved pictures just in case. But lately I’ve started using them for cards and stuff and they turned out great! Now I would like to request a water lily, a pink one if you can find it. It’s going to be on a birthdaycard for my friends one-year old girl. Her flower is the water lily. The party is next saturday so I really hope my request gets chosen. Otherwise I have to BUY a card:(

Hi Maria,
Will this one work for you? http://graphicsfairy.blogspot.com/2010/02/free-vintage-clip-art-flower-fairies.html It’s actually a fairy popping out of a water lily. Or did you need a more realistic looking one?

wow…not sure what to think of that astrology pic!!

Fun blog! I am searching for a songbird in flight… I would use it for a moving announcement. Thanks!

Thank you Karen for being som quick to answer! The picture you suggested is nice but I want a water lily without the fairy if that’s possible. Otherwise it’s just the style I’m looking for, the storybook kind, and not the realistic kind. Hope you’ll find one. And like all the others, I really appreciate all the work you put in to find all the lovely pictures!

Hello Karen … I was one of those bad people who emailed you a request (only because I was also trying to send you some files with some vintage images I thought that you would like – sorry!) … so here’s my request – I’m looking for a drawing of “peas in a pod”. If you have anything that might work that would be wonderful!!

At the college I work for, we evaluate transcripts from many different countries. We would like to keep track by posting small flags from each one. The problem is that we cannot find a graphic to print out with all (or even most) of the flags together so we can cut them out as we evaluate ones from new countries. Thanks!

Karen, I absolutely love these. They are perfect for Independence Day. Thank you so much for all the hard work you put into this place for us.
I would like to see vintage images of zodiac signs – maybe post the sun sign as that one begins, (such as Leo on July 23, I think it is). Thank you again!

I just used this image in a card for a challenge at Shabby Tea Room. I gave you credit for the image, of course! If you would like to take a look, this link goes directly to that blog posting.
