Here’s what I found for you this week:
Debbie was wishing for a Pear image. The one above is cute and colorful, and comes from an antique children’s game.
The very same Debbie, also requested a Rooster graphic. No I’m not playing favorites here, these were both super easy to find images. I’m lazy like that!
Betty Bake was hoping for a Farmer with a Pitch Fork or other farm related images. As you can see I didn’t come up with a pitch fork, but hopefully she can use this Farmer with a Plow.
I’ve actually had several requests for Trees lately. Including one for a Tree with out leaves for a wedding book project, from Anna. This one could work for genealogy too I think. If you need a tree with leaves, leave me a request in the comments, with the type of tree you need.
Well, that’s all for this week. Do you have a request for an image? If so please leave it here in thecomments section of my Request Day post, and then check back on Thursday to see if I found your requested image (Sorry but I can’t fill every request, I usually pick a few each week). Each week I go back and check under my Thursday posts to find what your looking for, it’s so much easier for me that way. I’m afraid I’m a very disorganized Fairy, so please, please please Do Not email requests to me, I most likely will loose it if you do. So sorry but I’m a complete mess when it comes to email! I’m afraid they’re just aren’t enough hours in the day to answer them all, and then I feel horribly guilty.
P.S. Don’t forget to use the search box here on my blog, you might find that the image you want is already here!

Hi Karen! I love your blog! I was wondering if you had any law or justice related graphics. I’m an attorney and would love some vintage looking stuff to use in decorating my office.
Thanks!

Hi Erica,
That’s a good one!! I’ll poke about and see if I can find something for you, for next week.

Hello Karen, I just discovered your blog and LOVE IT! you’re great, do you have any Fleur de Lis graphics, I checked the French section but didn’t see any. Thank you!
Karen- The Graphics Fairy says
I think the only Fleur de lis I have right now is HERE I really should have more of these! I will keep my eye out for some this week.

Karen, I just wanted to say, “thank you.” you are a gift to all of us. I do primarily jewelry but I also do some collage jewelry and love to do paper crafts, as well, when I have time. I find so many wonderful things here and just find myself saving the graphics sometimes because they are so wonderful!
Many, many thanks!

I love the rooster and was just thinking I could use it on my wedding RSVPs to ask guests which meals they’ll be choosing! Would you happen to be able to find a similar-looking cow and lettuce/cabbage/other vegetable image that I could use for the meat eaters and vegetarians? Thanks so much!
Karen- The Graphics Fairy says
Suz,
I’m glad you found some things here that you can use in your jewelry, and other projects too! Thanks for your kind comment!

These are beautiful images! The rooster is great!

Hi Karen, Do you have other trees like his that would represent the 4 seasons?
Finding Home says
I just recently found you also and I am loving your site, you are so generous. Any chance of a maple tree, but not in color, just a sillhouette image similiar to what you posted above.
Also, I recently found a whole load of sheet music. Some of the covers are amazing, especially the childrens music ( I will posting some images in the next few days). If you think you could scan them and use them, I would be happy to send them to you to share (as long as you don’t mind sending them back!). I just don’t know how they fall into copyright issues.
Thanks,
Laura

Valerie,
Oh wow, how fun!!! This Rooster is from an 1880’s farming magazine and I actually have 2 years worth of issues. There are loads of cows and I even remember seeing some cute cabbages in one of them too, so that’s totally doable!
Anita,
Yours sounds a bit more difficult I’m afraid. I’ll keep my eyes open for something like that, but I don’t think I have anything like that currently.

Hi Karen! – How about seeing if you can find a kissing couple. Black and white graphic if possible. Thanks!
Kathy

Thank you so much I love the images you found for me! The resources at your fingertips amaze me. How do you transform them from a vintage farm magazine to the beautiful image you offer us? Wow! I can’t wait to see the fleur de lis you find.

My daughter’s birthday is Oct.30 and believe it or not she really loves doing the Halloween theme but not the creepy, monster-like stuff (although we like that too).
So this year she will be 28 – any ideas for some different Halloween graphics?
& thanks for such a GREAT site! nancy

Hi Karen- Great images today, I love that farmer. I’m hoping that you can find an image of eyeglasses. Or a lorgnette. Or even a magnifying glass! I’m looking forward to what you’ll post for the law- or justice-related graphics because I can use them for some relatives. Thanks, Nancy.
plaisanter says
Sorry, I should have said that I know you have the optician’s ad for glasses- hoping you can find eyeglasses without eyes π

Hello Karen,
Great Thursday, once more!
I have a new challenge for you: I’m looking for maps of the US or UK or Canada(or of the following cities: London, Edinburgh, York, Oxford, Cambridge; NYC, Boston, LA, Minneapolis-St Paul; or of the corresponding American states) in tones of blue &/or green.
Would you be so kind as to hunt for some for me?
On another topic, I have some vintage stuff on old newspapers and one on canvas: would it be any use to just scan it and email it to you?
Thanks.

I love your site. There is so much that it’s hard to figure out what to do next. While cleaning out my parents house, with my mom, I can across a book of fairy tales. The binding is shot but the pictures are FANTASTIC. I was wondering if you would like it? Let me know, I’m easy to reach by e-mail. I would be ahppy to take a few pitures it you want.

Karen,
You and your blog are fantastic! How about a snowman for those of us trying to get ahead of the holidays?
Thanks!
Karen- The Graphics Fairy says
Hi Line & Gayle,
Thank you for the offer of the images! If the items that you have are from before 1923, and look like something that my readers would enjoy, then I would love it! I only use scans, not photos, of the images, with a resolution of 300 dpi. You can email them to me, using the email on my contact page. If I end up using them, I will be sure and give you credit. Thanks again!

Hello, I was wondering if you had a vector image of the tree? Or a jpg that looks high res 36 inches across.
