Hi Karen! Wow! What an incredible image! Thank you so much! I’m guessing your job is not easy, but I would love to have a job where I got to dig through old books, catalogs, ancient advertisements, and so on. I’m, uhm, nosy by nature and can remember sneaking into my grandmother’s cedar chest as a child. I’ll never forget (or hope I don’t) that “old” smell of papers, letters and well, just old stuff! I’m sure what you do is extremely more involved and not as easy as you make it appear, but STILL, if you ever need someone from my neck of the woods to go digging for you, I’m your gal! LOL!! Thanks again for all you do and your devotion really shines through on your site. As if you needed my opinion, huh! 😉

Thanks Chris! It sounds like we are two of a kind! I used to spend hours digging through my grandparents attic and old trunks and things too! I probably won’t run out of things to share anytime soon, but thanks for the offer! I do still buy lots of stuff, but mostly from Europe these days, as the European things are my favorites. 🙂
P.S. If you have an eye for this kind of stuff, you could try your hand at selling original pieces on Ebay or Etsy. There are lots of people that do and you can make some money there, if you put some real effort into establish a customer base.

Thanks for this fabulous image Karen.
When I was young I had access to a home library that had books from my grandparents as well as my parents – I was so sad when we had to move to a smaller housew and a lot of the books were ‘disposed of’ :-(.
Blessings
