This morning’s reader feature is this beautiful Vintage Humidor, submitted by our friend Leigh Farrell. When Leigh purchased this piece it was painted a nasty brown color and was in desperate need of a makeover. Leigh first painted the whole piece with Annie Sloan Old White chalk paint, and decoupaged with napkins on the back and sides of the humidor. She then transferred my gorgeous Natural History Bird image using a decoupage technique. Leigh distressed the entire piece, and used a clear and dark wax. For her final touch, she put a tiny amethyst glass knob onto the humidor. This is such a lovely project!
