This morning’s reader feature is this lovely Vintage Sideboard Cabinet, submitted by our friend Karin Mann. This style cabinet was very popular in the 1920’s through the 1940’s. Karin wanted the appearance of this cabinet to look aged. She used my Typography Hotel Sign image by hand painting it on the front of the bottom drawers. Then she repainted the inside of the drawers with an antique white chalk paint. For her final step she finished it off with a dark wax to age it even more, and then a clear wax on top. This is such a beautiful piece, and it can be used as a bookcase or a display cabinet. Love it!
