Hi everyone…it’s Andrea from The Cottage Market. Happy November! The last time we met we went over How to Print on Tissue Paper and today I am going to share a quick…easy and fun way to wrap a cute little package with the printed tissue paper. Just think of it…you can personalize it with any pattern you want…with any images here at The Graphics Fairy and that is a lot of choices! I used a little Paris Theme and used a pretty crown and a fleur de lis to design my tissue paper. You will find with some pretty tissue paper…your customized piece of tissue paper…sweet ribbon and love your package will look fabulous! So let’s start Wrapping with Tissue Paper!
All you need is some card stock for your tags and rolls…tissue paper…scissors …a ruler… pencil …printed sheet of tissue paper…ribbon and glue.
First take your card stock…ruler and pencil and measure out your strips. I made mine 2 1/2 inches wide… you can make them whatever size you would like but please remember you need 2 inches of over hang on both sides for a pretty package. For a large package print the tissue paper design horizontally.
Cut your strips and then cut them in half again…that is all you will need : )
To make the roll…simply roll it up and then run a stream of hot glue on the end tab and press..voila! When you are determining the inside diameter of your roll…make sure what you are going to put in there will fit!
Place the gift inside of the toilet paper roll. Wrap the tissue paper around the roll, (I doubled mine…a sheet of plain tissue paper underneath…if you want a shade of color…it shows thought lightly and is very pretty and then my printed tissue paper) leaving about 2-3 inches overhang on each side. Gently pinch and twist the ends gathering the paper on each side and secure by tying the ribbon into a bow. I tied some bows and then on some I used tying ribbon and curled it! Make some pretty little tags and you are on your way to some very pretty packages! Just think of the possibilities.
You can make them for little favors and also match the theme of the party by using the array of graphics waiting for you.
This wrapping technique is fabulous for stocking stuffers and any little gift!
Sure hope you enjoyed this little wrapping idea! The Holiday Season is right around the corner…sure hope you have some fun creating some pretty packages! I will see you really soon with some more quick and easy DIY’s…but till then…if you want to say hi… you can find me at The Cottage Market… it’s where I hang out. Hugs… Andrea
