31 Printable French Shopkeeper Transfers

Today we have a Gorgeous, and HUGE, collection of Printable Shopkeeper Transfers! Apparently I am prone to buying Vintage French Shop and Boutique Advertising pieces, I didn’t even realize how many I had until I put this collection together. These stunning pieces look gorgeous on everything from Furniture, to Linens, to Signs, to small decorative accessories. There are all kinds of shops represented below, including Stationery stores, clothing stores, Jewelry shops, a Flower seller a Chemist and more. I hope you love these as much as I do!

This Transfer Printable is a lovely French Typography specimen from an antique French Type book. Shown above is a gorgeous ribbon banner that was used as an advertisement for a Department store that sold novelties, silk, satin, wool, cotton and velvet! This would be a nice one for a Sewing or Craft Room! I can so picture this painted on the front of a beautiful armoire! The possibilities are endless so have fun with these!

Above is a French Stationery Transfer for you! I made this Typography Printable by combining portions of five different French invoices. This business would likely sell and or print journals and fancy paper items like stationery. I can just imagine browsing a shop like this in Paris; what a treat that would be!

Here is a French Papeterie Transfer! I’ve looked it up … and ‘Papeterie’ translates to ‘Stationary’. This beautiful piece is made from an old French Advertising piece of ephemera! It has a Rue Saint-Pierre address and several cute little fancy design elements on it. Although not too fancy… so that you could easily hand paint these after transferring the image, if so desired. People often ask me what fonts I use on these, but they are lettered pieces scanned from the originals, so no fonts are used.

Pictured above is a French Men’s Neckwear Transfer for you! This image advertises a proprietor whose shop sells Men’s neckwear, specifically collars and ties. The image was digitally collaged from a few antique invoices dating back to the 1800’s. It represents some of the finest Men’s 1880’s style neckwear!

Here we have a Clothing & Haberdashery French Transfer! This one has some lovely French Typography with beautiful handwritten script and ornamentation. This lovely shop would have sold sewing notions for men’s clothing, including collars, buttons, vests, and cuff links. This would make a lovely Hand Lettered sign or Typography for hand painted furniture or a tray. How pretty this would look combined with other images in a collage!

This wonderful French Label shown above comes from an 1890’s Invoice. I’ve enlarged it to so that you can print it out and use it for your Iron on Transfer projects. It would make a great sign too! I’ve offered two options, one front facing and one mirrored. I think it’s a beautiful graphic and I love the ornate frame. It seems to have something to do with clothing. It mentions shoemakers, as well as handkerchiefs, corsets, and other undergarments. I’m unsure if it was an ad for supplies for a tradesman or a shopkeeper advertising his or her wares, but either way I think it’s lovely and love that it says “Paris” on it!

Here’s a splendid French Transfer Printable! This is another Typography Printable from Paris! I adore the fancy lettering on this one, and the fact that it says “Maison” in the title! It also says ‘Succursale’, which means branch in French. It must have been a secondary shop for this business. So chic! This would look fabulous as a sign!

The above Image is a French Typography Transfer Printable from an old French Document. This one was an ad for an old Paris Jewelry shop. It would be fun to use on a Jewelry box! This would also look fab on a Flour Sack project!
