Vintage Anatomy Skeleton Images
These Vintage Anatomy Skeleton Images are from an Antique Dictionary Circa 1898. I thought this one was a little unusual in that it shows both front and back together. It reads, “Bones of the Human Body!” All of the bones are numbered in the diagrams. It is a pretty spooky looking graphic!
Shown above is an unusual Skeleton picture from an early Natural History book. It compares the bones of a man to the bones of a Chimpanzee. The similarities are quite interesting and more than a little bit frightening as well!
Here we have a fun Skeleton Man image. I have added a cute Top Hat on his head! Don’t you think that makes him a bit more festive looking?! The hat along with his expression make him almost look as if he is alive! He has a lot of teeth!
This is an illustration of a walking skeleton Man, with his arm outstretched. He was scanned from a Circa 1835 Natural History book!
Shown above is a long Halloween Skeleton Arm with what looks to be a Weight of some kind in it’s hand. Creepy! This one was scanned from an 1872 Physiology Textbook. It may have some muscles drawn with the upper arm bones. They may need them to hold that heavy weight!
Physiology Skeleton Pictures
This is from an 1890’s children’s textbook on Physiology! This skeleton is a bit different from some of the others I’ve come across. I really like the black outline background around the bones. It makes it a bit more dramatic looking I think. I’ve left a lot of the original patina on the image so that it will look just like an antique when you print it out. I’ve created a high resolution printable for you too. I can’t wait to see what you do with this one.
Here is an interesting Vintage Halloween Image. The Skeleton of the man that you see above was found in a Circa 1872 Anatomy and Physiology Book. He appears to be walking. The orange background behind the bones give it a Halloween feel doesn’t it?
Here is the latest addition to this collection. Pictured above is an old Diagram in French. It’s like a little reference card with the different parts labeled. It has a great worn patina to it!
I hope you enjoyed this interesting curated collection of Skeleton Pictures! You might also like our Animal Skeletons HERE or our Skull Images HERE.

This is great, Karen! I was just thinking about making a pillow for my son with something like this, so it is perfect timing. He is going for his Masters in Athletic Training and has to take a Gross Anatomy class.

Oh that’s great Kathy!! I’m guessing your son is a very fit young man! 🙂

I love your images and while I appreciate daily emails I would also love a way to track my favorite images or keep them in a file. Do you know of any easy way to do that?
Karen Watson says
Hi Lee, Are you on Pinterest? You could make a board just for my graphics and save them in there. That makes it easy!
