6 Antique Calendar Ladies
Today we have a charming collection of Antique Calendar Ladies! Each one of these pages is such a beautiful work of Art, they all feature lovely Ladies in their finest clothing representing different Seasons of the year. I’m sure that at the time these were produced, that Calendar’s were quite a necessity, unlike today where we have these things on our phones and computers. Although, I have to confess I still use a paper calendar and planner and I would be lost without them! I’m sure these gorgeous pages would have been proudly displayed in any home back then, perhaps in the kitchen or a study near a desk area. These would be beautiful to use in your Junk Journals or as a part of a Collage. You could really just frame them and hang them on your walls for some inexpensive art!
1897 Victorian Lady Calendar Cards
A stunningly beautiful set of Victorian Lady Calendar Cards is featured here. Our Victorian Woman is standing in a field of tall grasses and flowers. She is wearing a magnificent blue-green dress with an underskirt with pink and green flowers. Her natural straw hat has a white ribbon blowing in the breeze. She is carrying a bouquet of pink flowers. So pretty!! This card shows the January, February, and March calendars from 1897. In the lower corner it reads, “Compliments of The Youth’s Companion.” These were provided by my friend Mary at Green Paper.
Here we see the April, May, and June calendars from the 1897 Victorian Lady Calendar Card set. Seated outside amid a background of greenery is our sweet girl. The background makes her peach colored dress really pop. The fancy dress opens to reveal a white lacy underskirt. She is wearing a wide brim straw hat with large peach toned flowers. The calendars are placed around her feet.
Shown above is another adorable girl in a long white Victorian dress with soft blue sash and bonnet. She carries an umbrella for her walk along the sea or lake. Her white pumps rest on a cluster of rocks. Featured here are the July, August, and September calendars from the 1897 Victorian Lady Calendar Card set. 
Wearing a Pink Dress from the 1897 Victorian Lady Calendar Card set is a lovely young girl. She is leaning her elbow on a stone fence under a wonderful tree. Her wide brimmed hat is covered with red flowers, probably roses from the garden. There are loads of beautiful plants near her. The calendars along the bottom are for October, November, and December.
