The Reveal
Some of you may recall my previous post where I was in the process of selecting a color for our Master Bathroom, using Glidden® Paint. Well, this is it, today is the day that I get to reveal our newly painted and decorated Master Bath!
Also, be sure and comment at the bottom of this post to be entered to win the $100 Visa Gift Card!
I took a photo at night too, so that you could see how pretty the curtains look. It’s so hard to photograph them with the light coming in behind them. The curtains tie in the blue from the Master Bedroom, to give a more cohesive look to the whole space, without having to paint both rooms blue.
I’m so pleased with the light and airy feel of the room. If you notice the ceiling above, that was the original color of the walls. I like the contrast of the lighter color of the vaulted ceilings against the creamier tan color of the walls.
This is my husband’s sink. We purchased new light fixtures and my stepson installed them for us.
This is my sink. I also added faux orchids on both sides of the room. I could do with a few more accessories, but that’s okay, I can take my time doing that.
I found a sweet little Pillow with some Paisley embroidery, to accent the Iron Garden Chair in the corner.
Selecting the Perfect Color
I went with Glidden Duo™ Paint, which is Paint and Primer all together in one can. Yay! I used Eggshell so that my walls will have a slight sheen and be easier to clean than with a flat paint. I purchased my paint at Home Depot, but you can also find Glidden® paint at Walmart and other fine retailers.
The Before
This was my bathroom before. Just sort of blah with its builder’s beige paint.
It’s amazing what a difference a simple thing like paint can make to a home, and trust me it is simple, everyone can paint. You can totally do this too! If you’re at all scared, use the Glidden paint’s color tools like I did, they really do take a lot of the guesswork out of the process.
The vaulted ceilings really stand out now and the room is so serene and lovely. I just need to hem those curtains now, or raise the curtain rod, I haven’t decided which way to go on that yet! I hope you enjoyed this reveal!

I just painted our great room and I hate it. I love your color and wish I would have gone with my first instincts. Would love to win so I can redo the room.

You had me at Whispering Wheat 🙂 I love that old vintage color. The touch of French blue is a perfect choicet! The overall crispness of the room is very refreshing and will make soaking in that wonderful bathtub a dream come true. Happy bathing:) Dorothygail

I wish I could have my whole house done-we’ve lived here almost 9 years and it needs a change! I really like the color you chose and the curtains! Did you buy them or make them. I wish I could afford to have someone come and paint-hubby doesn’t do it anymore and my body won’t let me!
Anyway would love to win and buy some paint!

I have the same light fixture. Yes I hate it too and all the light bulbs. It doesn’t say green. Does it? I love the color you picked out. it would look great in my kitchen.

Thanks for the great inspiration Who says beige is boring… What a lovely color. I may be helping my son update an older home. This shade would be a lovely neutral starting point for so many color pallet options

Sure wish I had a window in my bathroom. Mine is so dark. Would love to get a new tub too. It is a blah blue—and blue is my favorite color, but this tub is horrible. Love your transformation.
