The Reveal
Some of you may recall my previous post where I was in the process of selecting a color for our Master Bathroom, using Glidden® Paint. Well, this is it, today is the day that I get to reveal our newly painted and decorated Master Bath!
Also, be sure and comment at the bottom of this post to be entered to win the $100 Visa Gift Card!
I took a photo at night too, so that you could see how pretty the curtains look. It’s so hard to photograph them with the light coming in behind them. The curtains tie in the blue from the Master Bedroom, to give a more cohesive look to the whole space, without having to paint both rooms blue.
I’m so pleased with the light and airy feel of the room. If you notice the ceiling above, that was the original color of the walls. I like the contrast of the lighter color of the vaulted ceilings against the creamier tan color of the walls.
This is my husband’s sink. We purchased new light fixtures and my stepson installed them for us.
This is my sink. I also added faux orchids on both sides of the room. I could do with a few more accessories, but that’s okay, I can take my time doing that.
I found a sweet little Pillow with some Paisley embroidery, to accent the Iron Garden Chair in the corner.
Selecting the Perfect Color
I went with Glidden Duo™ Paint, which is Paint and Primer all together in one can. Yay! I used Eggshell so that my walls will have a slight sheen and be easier to clean than with a flat paint. I purchased my paint at Home Depot, but you can also find Glidden® paint at Walmart and other fine retailers.
The Before
This was my bathroom before. Just sort of blah with its builder’s beige paint.
It’s amazing what a difference a simple thing like paint can make to a home, and trust me it is simple, everyone can paint. You can totally do this too! If you’re at all scared, use the Glidden paint’s color tools like I did, they really do take a lot of the guesswork out of the process.
The vaulted ceilings really stand out now and the room is so serene and lovely. I just need to hem those curtains now, or raise the curtain rod, I haven’t decided which way to go on that yet! I hope you enjoyed this reveal!

I also used Glidden eggshell to redo my studio room and I absolutely love the slight sheen. Love how it turned out!

Wow – until I saw the photo of the ladder by the tub, I didn’t realize how big that space is! Is that tub as wonderfully comfortable as it looks? It all looks beautiful, Karen!

Beautiful! Would love to re-do/update our master bathroom! Thanks for the chance at the giveaway:)

Your bathroom is a dream! I think that if I had a tub like that I would put a fridge in there and basically never come out! My long-term painting project is our family room which currently has some gross dull and dirty white walls (yuck). The moldings and side rails are just two of the many things I love about our old house, but that paint needs a serious re-do as well! I’ve decided on a grey palette and bright splashes of color using furniture and accessories and paintings. Cannot wait to have the $ to start!

I’d love to repaint my master bathroom. It’s a bit outdated with the sponge technique-lovely at the time of creation, but now needing a fresh “serene” Glidden type palette. I’d love to buy some new colors with that $100 Visa gift card! I’m in!!

Beautiful room and color, having a clutter free space must also add to the serenity

Your bathroom is a lovely and serene place. All of your decorative touches have made the room so very special. The choice of wall color seems to bring everything together and give it all a soft glow. Beautiful choice!

OMG!! Eureka!! Thanks to your samples, I think I found the color for my main bathroom! My bathtub is the same as your with a window same place; however my cabinets are more mahogany color but the tiles are beige/gray. Sometimes I wonder what was I thinking when I chose them!!! LOL!! But that color looks perfect and tomorrow I will be heading out the hardware store!! Thank you so much!

I am liking this very much! That is the color I’d like to paint my den. I’m so tired of the green it is now~~and you can see where my German Shepard likes to rub her butt on the wall. That part is painted textured wallpaper and it doesn’t clean up very well. Pooh.

I love your choice of paint colors! This summer we removed all the wallpaper from our home and painted every room. The transformation was amazing! Everything is so fresh and new and has brought a renewed energy to our home.
The little chair and pillow are so pretty together:)

I love what you did, the lights the mirror on the tub and the pillow on the garden chair everything. The color looks perfect. I would not be able to afford my water bill or maybe you can throw a bunch of pillows and blankets in the tub and relax!
Great job!

Love the warmer look instead of a gray choice which is so popular now. Ha – I have that same fixture [the old one] in my hall half bath except it is on wood & smaller. Want to see about painting over the paper in it rather than stripping & change out the fixture!

I need to paint my master bedroom & bath as well as my kitchen & great room, pretty much half my house! It is overwhelming just thinking about what needs to be painted. Thanks for the giveaway!
