We hope you will be totally inspired by this series! Therefore, please make sure you check out the video tour at the bottom of the page…please scroll all the way down to see it. Are you ready to be inspired? I will step out of the way and let Anna tell you all about her lovely project…
Dear All, I hope you are keeping safe and well and you are enjoying your crafting. It is such a pleasure to be part of this wonderful inspiring community. As a member of the Graphics Fairy Membership Site Designer Team I am honored to contribute by creating a journal for the first week of June. Constant Traveler is a journal dedicated to the passion of discovery and exploration. It is filled with old world maps, memorabilia and ephemera with a nostalgic rustic theme running throughout this journal.
I decided on a travelers notebook size of 24 cm x 13 cm. It is a comfortable size for one to carry around if desired and has an elegant fresh look.
My favorite image from the Olde World Maps which is on the cover of this journal, is nestled in a frame with antique olive green, gold and bronze leaf. The color of the cover suits the color scheme of the elements used inside.
I have created a collage which can be used as a bookmark with a selection of ephemera and images that a traveler could have pieced together from memories of previous travels or the anticipation for future exploring. It is a combination of Vintage Paris, French Attic and European Ephemera with Olde World Maps and Mini Ephemera Pieces.
I love adding bunting in my journals and I have been greatly inspired by the Graphics Fairy bunting elements. I connected them all with gold thread to add to the rustic feel of the journal. Seamless Pattern bundle is ideal for adding pockets and tuck spots and blends in with the whole theme. I have mixed them with Olde World Maps and tags used as pockets, printed on ivory 100 gsm paper (or 20 lb copy paper) to make them sturdier.
The mini notebook companion is a little book that accompanies the main journal. It is there for note keeping and I added marbled paper from the marbled papers bundle. The red color is a stunning contrast to the maps of the cover.
