I recently had the opportunity to try out Coffee-mate® Girl Scouts® creamer in the Girl Scouts® Thin Mints® flavor. This yummy flavor took me right back to my Girl Scout days! I can remember selling boxes and boxes of tasty cookies and Thin Mints was my absolute favorite flavor… we always purchased several boxes of that flavor for our family! Nestle® Coffee-mate® is kicking off a campaign called “One Smart Cookie” which celebrates the spirit of making the world a better place through smart, resourceful ideas … which is something that the Girl Scouts are well known for! In honor of this campaign I’ve put together a Life Hack post showing you how I used Vintage and Antique pieces (from around my house) to create a Vintage Coffee Station in my new home!
I was so excited when we moved in to this house and I realized that this little end part of our kitchen was the perfect size for a Coffee Station! As you can see here it’s rather plain and needed some livening up!
We happen to have a drawer right in that area, so I looked around to find a way to keep the coffee pods organized and this is what I came up with. I used my Antique Muffin tins to store the pods in!
Now if you don’t have a drawer, you could add some vintage drawers to your countertop and store your Coffee or Tea there. You can find these at Antique shops and Flea markets. The metal ones are easier to find than the wooden ones, they are usually less expensive too, but they still look great!
I used an old basket on top of the drawers to store paper napkins in. The basket used to belong to my Grandmother.
I snagged this old Biscuit crate out of my office, it’s the perfect size to hold our Coffee Machine. I liked that this one had a lid, since it hides the cord and outlet behind the coffee maker. An open Crate or Basket would work well too.
This old Stoneware English Marmalade Jar is perfect for storing spoons (or Coffee Stirrers). You could also use a Mason jar or whatever you have in your vintage collection! The pewter sugar bowl was also my grandmother’s and works well for the Sugar Packets.
Both pieces fit nicely in the crate next to the machine, but they are cute enough that they could go on the outside of it too.
I bet you have all kinds of fun vintage pieces around your house that you could pull together for a similar look. Just think like a Girl Scout and use what you have! Now it’s time to enjoy the fruits of my labor …
with a delicious cup of coffee flavored with Girl Scouts® Thin Mints® creamer! I love that I can enjoy all the delicious cookie taste, all year long!
