Our 2019 Printable CD Case Calendar

In case you have not heard about CD Case Calendars, you have arrived at the right place. Let me tell you what I know. The CD Case Calendar adds a custom designer touch to your desk by turning an ordinary jewel case into a calendar display easel. Each month is personalized with its own image. They are quick and easy (and very affordable) gifts for the man in your life, a special teacher, or office teammates.

All you need to do is print the design, trim the edges, and place it in a CD jewel case. It is that simple to give a useful handmade token.

CD Printable Calendar 2019 Tutorial

You can purchase pre-made calendar CD cases or you can make your own out of a CD jewel case you already have. Here are the easy to follow directions for our DIY Free Printable Calendar 2019. Select a CD case. I prefer a sturdy one, but any jewel case you have on hand should work. For this tutorial, I will use a two tone case so you can see the steps better.

Carefully separate the top cover from the bottom cover.

Carefully, because you do not want to break the tiny plastic pins that are on the little hinges. (see below) That is what holds the entire piece together.

Flip both pieces over so the inside is facing down. Reattach them with outside facing each other. It will form an angled easel as you see below.

Carefully attach the side back together. The inside of each piece will be outside now.

Slowly turn the front clear piece toward the blue back. (Yours may not have a blue piece.) Stop when you hear a little click. DO NOT force it or it will close all the way.

Print your calendar from our Free Printable Calendar 2019 below. Do not scale it down or up. It is the perfect size. I printed these on white cardstock. Trim the sides and bottom along the print area. Adjust as needed based on your case.

Do not trim the top of the month sheet. Leave about 1-2 inches attached at the top of each month.

Place the month on the front of the case. Adjust where you want the fold to be. Fold over the the top where the design meets the unprinted area. This will wrap the top of the easel to hold it in place.

You may need to fold the bottom in also to fit your case. Take your time with this. Anja designed plenty of play room on both the top and bottom edges.

Store the extra months underneath so you have them handy.
