In this post, we have two lovely French Butterfly Typography Transfers! We took a butterfly shape and filled it with some of our favorite pieces of French typography – French invoices, French letters, a signature, an envelope seal, and a fun hot air balloon.
These pretty transfers would look lovely on a pillow, tea towel, tray, crate, or side table. We’ve included the original black lettering on white version, then made a second version of white typography on black, which we think looks quite striking.

What font was used for “Paris” in this image? Or was it a scan from something else?
Thanks!
Karen Watson says
Hi Andrew, It’s a scan from an old document. Sorry!

Hi Karen – I love these butterflies and all the other graphics as well. My question is with regard to the size of the graphic. How do I adjust for a smaller item such as a glass votive?
graphicsfairy says
Hi Lisa,
You need an editing software such as Photoshop or a free site we discovered called Picmonkey. There are many others, but those are the 2 we work with. I hope that helps 🙂
