11 French Lady Postcards
Today we have a beautiful collection of French Lady Postcards! Below are Vintage Postcards displaying some very pretty French Ladies. All are beautiful photo postcards. And I have included one postcard back with the writing and a stamp. Some of the cards include a single Lady and other images have multiple women, but all are truly lovely. The Ladies all have such kind, content, and even flirty expressions on their faces. They all make me happy just looking at them! All are splendid photo cards for your Collage or Mixed Media Art pieces!
Vintage French Lady Postcards
This is a lovely Old Photo Postcard. It shows a French Woman lounging on a Settee with a small book in hand! She has on a very pretty Dress with aqua accents and a big Bow in her Hair. “Le livre défendu” is written on the card. It means “The Forbidden Book.” She must be really enjoying the book based on that big smile on her face!
Pictured above is a gorgeous Old Vintage Photo Image from my collection! Shown is a Beautiful French Lady, a lovely Parisian Woman! She has a such a pretty face and the loveliest clothing, including a sequined headband in her hair, and a fabulous dress with lace and delicate ornate bead work! There are even Roses in the photo, creating such a romantic image! The coloring is just right on this one too, with the soft sepia tones.
Here we have a pretty Vintage French postcard featuring a very attractive, classy looking French Woman in a lovely pink dress, who is attending to a huge basket of Roses that has the craziest looking dove on top of it! “A Vous De Tout Coeur” translates to “To You Wholeheartedly.”
Here we have a wonderful Vintage French postcard! This card depicts a beautiful French Woman in her finest clothing, including a beaded headband. Behind her is a marvelous brightly colored French flag waving in the wind. Her proud expression with flag behind her perhaps represents her French pride or patriotism. The wording I think means “Sincerest Friendship” or something similar.
This is a sweet Vintage postcard of a pretty Parisian Lady with cherries dangling from her mouth! I wonder what that symbolizes. She has a flirty look in her eyes. I think she might be in love with a handsome beau! Too cute!
Old French Postcards
Here we have an unusual one for this time period! A woman smoking a cigarette. She appears to be daydreaming about her dream guy!
Above is such a charming old French Postcard! Displayed is a Sassy looking French Lady with two cherries dangling from her mouth. She’s wearing an elaborate Hat and Velvet Corset style Bodice. There is French writing all over the photograph side of the card. I just loved the back of this one too, so I scanned them both for you! There is a nice red stamp on this one.
Here’s a pretty little Postcard, showing a charming French Lady! She looks like she’s curtsying with her paper Parasol. She is wearing a Hat covered with Feathers! The card has a lovely aqua stamp that has been cancelled in one corner. It reads, “A Vous Mon Sourire,” which translates loosely to “A Smile for You” or “For You a Smile.”
Darling French Women Postcards
This charming French Postcard shows two young Girls with Fancy Costumes! They appear to be Flower Sellers. On a personal note, I’m struck by the resemblance of the one on the left to a friend of mine that I went high school with. Mary, aka Elena Maria Vidal, is a French Historian with French roots. I can’t help wondering if this young girl may have been an ancestor of hers!
I hope you enjoyed this fun curated collection of French Lady Postcards! You might also like our Eiffel Tower Images HERE.

I just love these postcards. I don’t know how to download them. I have a printer, but can’t see how to do that. I love being 71 years old and still learning…. can you help me out?
Thank you so much!

Hi Tawnya, Sure, just save them to your computer by using the button on the right side of your mouse. Click on the image with the right button, and then select “save as” and save to a folder on your computer. Then when you are ready to print, just open your folder, select your image and print it out. I hope that helps!

Hi Karen,
I know what you mean about the girl in the picture; when I saw this one, I had to send it to my niece. She’s a dead ringer. And she agreed. I really do think that woman has to be an ancestor of hers. I don’t doubt that many people find doppelgangers in many of these. Sure is amazing when you do. (There is another one of a group of Edwardian girls; the one in the middle looks for all the world like one of my best friends growing up, too.)

These are just lovely, though I can’t help thinking that there is something a tad risque about the cherries.
