8 Vintage Garden Structures Images
This is a marvelous collection of Vintage Garden Structures Images! Gardens are full of beautiful things to look at. There are flowers, trees, ponds, fountains and more. But some gardens have something extra…antique garden structures and even follies! These can be anything from a small stone bench to an elaborate temple-like structure with columns. As you browse through the images below, you will see that garden architects of the past, created some incredibly unique and beautiful structures!
Vintage Garden Structures
What a charming little building! This is a darling little Victorian Garden house with beautiful windows and an arch top door. This comes from an 1879 Gardening book! This is lovely the way it is, but would be fun to color in too.
This is an elaborate French Garden House or Garden Folly Image! I love all the fancy details on the roof and the circular stairs on the outside. It even has a balcony on the second floor with a darling arched top door! There are flowers wrapping the columns leading to the front door. Scanned from a Circa 1859 French Garden book, this one is so impressive!
Old Tree House Images
Above is a whimsical Tree House Image. This black and white Garden image is of a two story Tree House carved out of the top of a beautiful leafy tree. It has wooden steps leading into the tree. I think this Tree House would be fantastic to use in a collage; just add some birds, butterflies, or flowers to create a gorgeous piece of art!
This is a very cute Tree House Garden Structure or Folly from an 1850’s French Architecture book! What an unusual looking building this is! It appears to be built right onto the trunk of an old tree! It resembles a gazebo. The pillars supporting the thatched roof are made from wooden logs and branches. I love the curvy staircase and the darling flag on the top! Could it be for Repunzel?!
Nostalgic Garden Play Structures
Here we have a delightful Classic Garden Scene Illustration!! I think this is such an interesting looking picture, almost dream-like! Shown above is a hedge, carved out to look like a room. There is a column with a bust on top of it and two wooden benches in front of the hedge wall. It looks like a lovely Garden house to enjoy a few hours on a hot Summer day. This is also from the French Garden book!
Garden Swing Set Picture
This a lovely Garden Swings Illustration! It is such a charming looking Play Set! Featured above are two tall trees with a log suspended between them. Hanging from the log are various swings, climbing elements, and a rope ladder. It would make a pretty Handmade card I think, or perhaps a lovely pillow for your porch! This is another one that I’ve scanned from a Circa 1859 French Garden book!
Vintage Window Awning Clip Art
This is a charming Vintage Window Awning Clip Art image! Featured above is a wonderful classic striped window awning covering a window with some very fancy molding above it. Below is a lovely window box full of plants! This is a such a pretty scene! It was scanned from a Circa 1870′s Garden book from London, England.
Pagoda Images
This is a Nanjing Pagoda Image! This Antique Engraving was scanned from a Circa 1868 Children’s Magazine. It shows a beautiful Architectural structure of a very tall Pagoda, which apparently was built out of white porcelain bricks. Such an amazing structure, unfortunately it is no longer standing. Probably a bit large for most gardens, but a smaller version could be quite nice.
