King’s Court Junk Journal

Hey, everyone! Emily Oliver of Pinkpaper 44, one of our amazing Junk Journal Design Team Members, created a fabulous  King’s Court Junk Journal for us this week. As you know, we feature one new Junk Journal project each week created by one of our creative team of artists. Our Design Team Members select from the 100’s of Vintage Image Bundles on our Premium Membership Site, for their creations, in order to show you beautiful ways to use those images. We hope you will be totally inspired by this series!

Hello everyone, this is Emily Oliver from pinkpaper44 and this blue velvet medieval style junk journal is called KINGS COURT.

Using an antique book cover for a reference I did the gold penning and the stamping for the spine and on the front I did some embossing on the blue velvet which I made my cover from.

Here I created some journal spreads with their digital images layering them on top of each other and printing them on tea die paper.

To make these tags, I used some velvet for a soft touch, and some of their images from the Shakespearean woman kit, then added some lace and twine for the tops.

This photo I distressed with some ink, and then did some golden bossing on it to create a frame around it.

Here at the back, This pocket I created with some of their backgrounds, and a few of their other images to help create a twine closure. There is a full flip through video available at the bottom of this page along with the link for my Etsy shop where this junk journal will be listed.
