Make Some Painted Lace Tins
This is a super fast and easy DIY Project that I did last week! I think these Painted Lace Tins look great in Christmas Vignettes as a part of your Holiday Decor, or they would make great containers for your Holiday Gifts ! You could fill them with tasty treats, bath and body products or craft supplies, for all of your family and friends. Fun!
This is what I started with, some plain old Vintage Tins, with a great patina! You could also reuse new ones, that you have around the house, and just paint them a solid color to start with.
3) Martha Stewart Gloss Glass Paint – Opaque White
4) Old Tins
Step 1: Place the Adhesive Silkscreen onto your tin and using your pouncer apply the paint.
Step 2: Peel up the Silkscreen and allow the paint to dry. Then move on to your next section until your done.
Guess what? That’s it!! Isn’t it gorgeous!!! I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love these silkscreens. The detail is amazing! It actually looks, and feels, like real Lace!!
Imagine this filled with all sorts of tasty treats, what an amazing gift that would be, and then the recipient has this gorgeous tin that can store all kinds of things year round!
On the round tin, I matched up the lace pattern each time after drying, to get an uninterrupted pattern that goes all the way around the tin.
There are loads of different patterns to choose from too! This one is called Antique Lace, I couldn’t find it online, but I got mine at Michaels. You can find more info about this line at Plaid. I can’t to try more projects with this stuff!!
