This cute Old Advertising Label Image was scanned from an 1880′s Rubber Stamp Catalog, in my collection. This one was made to advertise a Machinist and Engineering Firm. I loved the fancy frame on this one… I’ve included an option without the text, so that you can use it however you like! You might also like another great graphic from the same Catalog HERE!

Such beatiful graphics! But for the life of me I can not figure out how to transfer onto any of my wood projects. IE; signs , dresser tops, wood boxes.
Please help! 🙁

I have the print copied with a laser jet printer, mirror image if necessary. Then I paint the printed side with Golden’s gel medium generously and lay it face side down on the canvas or wood. I have been priming the wood area with gesso first. I gently rub out any bubbles with a soft rag and let dry thoroughly. Then I spray it with a little water and gently rub off the paper with my fingers. Some use a nylon scrubber. It takes patience and time but the result is very nice.
