Hello everyone, my name is Emily Oliver from pinkpaper44 I am new to the graphic fairy design team. This month’s journal is called Pen and Ink and it will be available in my Etsy shop there is a link below. It took me a while to decide on a theme they have so many choices on their premium membership site I changed my mind on the theme every time I went and looked at all the beautiful options I finally decided on a vintage writing journal. It measures 6 1/2“ x 4 3/4” with a 2” spine. It has 6 signatures with 5 to 7 pages in each signature, double side. It has lots of creams and vintage dark tones, great for journaling.
The cover I made with a marbled image front and back. The spine I used an empty rapping paper roll and covered it with a brown paper bag that I distressed with inks to make it resemble leather. There are tutorials for covers on the Graphics Fairy website as well.
In the inside cover, I have a notepad, and a few images from the Graphics Fairy with a little flip down envelope that I made a wax seal for, then I filled it with ephemera from one of the printable kits.
Here I did a collage with a vintage floral image along with a vintage postage image from the Graphics Fairy site to create a love letter with these envelopes.
I took one of the printable coin envelopes and another envelope and a cut some windows in them. I added some vintage glassine and then filled them with stamps and labels from the parcel post kit.
I created a little pocket with a vintage glassine sleeve. The photo is from my personal vintage collection and then the little tag on the side with the key is a tag is an image that I downsized and did some stamping on. I thought it looked nice with the key.
This page I created a tuck spot with a junk mail envelope that I covered with some washi tape and then very carefully cut around the window. I added a collage tag with some other blue ephemera from the kit, ‘The Author’
Here I created a tag, cut out a pocket from a vintage book cover from their images then in the pocket I put some labels and some cut outs also from their printables.
And at the back, I created a file folder stack with gusseted pockets that I put all of my remaining images from the printables in with some other vintage ephemera.
There is a full flip through video available at the bottom of this page.

Oh Jeri – thank you so much! Those of us who love the marsh seem to be everywhere this week. I am so pleased that you like the journal and very happy to show how lovely the images from the membership site are – and they are actually more than lovely! These images are meticulously prepared just for what we love to do – combine them and overlap them and use them to express our ideas. I think you will be very, very happy with your membership. Thank you for your comment and I hope you’ll stay in touch!

Hi Jeri, I’m so glad you enjoyed Kathleen’s beautiful journal! One of the bundles that she used was actually inspired by that same book. Such a great read! We look forward to having you join us as a Member!
