Therefore, please make sure you check out the video tour at the bottom of the page…please scroll all the way down to see it. Are you ready to be inspired? I will step out of the way and let Alessandra tell you all about her incredible project…
Hi everyone! For my design team project, I created a vintage spring-, garden-, and floral-themed journal. It is delicate, and lovely. The colors are a little more pastel than what I usually do. There
are a lot of pressed flowers, and floral and insect decorations. The cover is from an antique French book with an image of a woman sitting with a little girl by her side.
On the left, the background is a vintage wallpaper image from Tattered Paper Treasures and I made a postcard journaling card with this lovely black and white picture of a girl
from the kit Chelsea Flower Show. On the right I created a journaling card with an original wallpaper, and I distressed ephemera images from The Plant Women, so they look antique.
On the right, the background is a vintage wallpaper image from Spring Meadows Endpapers. And I made a flip with a lovely image of flowers from the kit British Flower Guide. On the left, I made a journaling card using a greenhouse image from the Chelsea Flower Show bundle and decorated it with a small piece of handmade paper.
On the left is a blue wallpaper background from Delicate Endpapers, and a tuck spot created with a butterfly image. Also on the left is a beautiful image from the bundle The Beekeeper’s Cottage. On the right I printed a butterfly page from Entomologist Field Guide.
On the left: The background is a beautiful vintage wallpaper image from The Beekeeper’s Cottage and on the front is a flip made from Seed Catalog Image. On the right, I made a corner pocket using vellum paper and I added a stenciled texture detail. In the pocket is a journaling card with a beautiful flower frame and a piece of vintage lace.
On the right, is a background from Delicate Endpapers and a beautiful journaling card from the Provance bundle, which I added lavender seeds to, giving a fragrant detail. On the
left is a background from Delicate Endpapers, and a flip made with a blue frame image from The Photographer and decorated with little pressed flowers in the center.
On the right, is a beautiful nature eggs page from the kit Forget Me Not, with a small wallpaper decorating the bottom. On the left is a vintage music page with a card made using a
lovely bird image from the Attic Paper Stash bundle.
On the right there is a page from a vintage floral book that I decorated with a little butterfly tuck spot. On the left I created a smaller page with a background from Tattered Paper
Treasures, and I made a small card from the kit Mini Ephemera.
On the left is a blue wallpaper background from Delicate Endpapers, a tuck spot created with a garden maze image from The Garden Ephemera, and I added a little glassine bag
with some pressed flowers inside. On the right I decorated a vintage ledger paper page with a floating pocket. Inside is a card made with a piece of a wallpaper image from the kit Tattered Paper Treasures 2, with a collage of vintage papers and lace.
I used an original vintage floral page from my collection to create the right, and I added a card with an image of bees from the bundle The Beekeeper’s Cottage. On the left is a page with a background from Tattered Paper Treasures. Inside a pocket made with vintage ledger paper is a cute card made using the three moths card image.
On the left is another vintage original floral page. On the right is a flip made using an image of a house from The Lacemaker. I decorated it with pressed flowers and a French
stamp.

What a beautiful journal, Alessanda. The way you displayed various images together was fantastic. Each page had various Spring images and was a unique work of art. I loved they way you combined a variety of materials. At the same time all the pages were related to the theme of a Spring Garden. I would love t o go on a vacation and visit all the places you illustrated here!

Hmmm, I see these other comments from October, but I’m just now receiving it, November 22, 2023. Anyway, just wanted to say I love this adorable vintage journal! A beautiful job!

This is the first time that I have written a comment but I wanted to say how much I liked this journal. You used some unusual images to create the illusion of a dream. I particularly liked the use of the constellation backgrounds & the adding of wings to some images to make them fairy like.

Hi Tineke, if you go to the “Printables” section of the Premium site, and then in the little box on the left side of the screen select the first option “Artist Trading Cards” (ATC) and that will bring up all of them. There are lots to choose from. I hope that helps!
Tineke says
Thank you Karen. I was looking for bundles, now I understand.
Karen Watson says
No problem Tineke! Happy to help.
