5 Victorian Men’s Fashion Images
Today we have a handsome collection of Victorian Men’s Fashion Images! Oh, how I love to study these. Men’s Fashion in the Victorian age was pretty formal and elegant. Every crease was precise. Every button was buttoned. And they always wore hats in public. The colors were dark and sober as you will see in the beautifully detailed Black and White Men’s Fashion Illustrations included in this set. There was different kind of fashion for morning and evening wear as well. I could go on, but I hope you will love these masculine images as much as I do. All are nice Victorian Men’s Fashion pictures that would work well for Father’s Day. You can use one to make Dad a card, gift tag, or put on the cover of his own scrap book. I think these might be fun to use for your Steampunk Projects too! Enjoy!

This is a wonderful image of a Gentleman dressed in an Overcoat with a Top Hat. He wears a pretty stiff collar high upon his neck. A long horse whip is being held in one hand. According to the description in the antique Catalog that the drawing came from, this was a Livery Outfit. So perhaps he was a Carriage driver.
Here’s a handsome looking Victorian gentleman! Pictured above is a well dressed man who looks quite sharp with his suit, top hat, and cane. The single breasted jacket is cinched at the waist and is fitted tightly. The tail of the coat is calf length. His shirt has a high collar. He has a neat handlebar mustache and is tipping his top hat. Love this one!
Here we have a Dandy looking Gentleman from an Antique Catalog! Wearing Striped Stovepipe Pants, a Bowler Hat, a Monocle, he even has a Handlebar Mustache! He is carrying a cane and gloves in one hand. Interestingly, he must have been a working class fellow as the aristocratic class normally wore top hats, while the bowler hats were worn by businessmen.
Here we have a smartly dressed Man from an Old Wanamaker’s Department Store Catalog, Circa 1880’s – 1890’s, in my collection. This gentleman is wearing a Seaside Outing Suit and is holding a pair of Binoculars in one hand. He is resting his other hand on a wooden boat steering wheel. By the size of the wheel, it must have been a fairly large boat. His double breasted jacket is dark and worn over white trousers. How splendid he looks!

Above is a lovely Victorian family out for a stroll! This one comes from the splendid Antique Wanamaker’s Catalog. I love that the Dad is waving his Top Hat and Mom has a fancy parasol! The sleeves of her jacket are huge. Such a fun illustration here!
