Vintage Ladies Accessories Images
This is a cute Vintage Gloves Image! Featured above is a picture of three gloves. It looks like a pair of Ladies gloves and one Man’s glove. The women’s pair appears to be made of soft, white leather with stitching on the top. The fingers on these gloves look really long. The man’s single glove appears to be knitted with fur trim, which looks great for cold weather. This one is from a rare and special early 1900’s Printer’s book!
Old Alligator Purse Picture
Pictured above is a super fun image from an Old Wanamaker’s Department store catalog, circa 1880’s – 1890’s, that is in my collection. I found this in the section showing Ladies fashion accessories. It’s a stylish looking Alligator purse or bag. My guess is that it was likely quite a pricey purse. I hope you can use it in your creations!
Tote Bag Clipart
This is a Vintage Large Woven Tote Bag Clipart Image. This picture shows a large, probably leather, woven tote bag with short rounded handles. There is beautiful stitching on the top layered band.
Victorian Hair Comb Images
Here we have a beautiful Royalty Free Hair Comb Image. It is from a Victorian Fashion magazine! I love how ornate this one is… so fancy!! It looks like it is heavily beaded. It perhaps is even intricate bead embroidery. Anyhow, this reminds me of a lovely old Beaded purse or Change purse. It has open work areas as well. Make sure that you zoom in to see all the gorgeous detail in this comb.
Pictured above is another beautiful Royalty Free Hair Comb Image that is from the same Victorian Fashion magazine. Just like the image above it, this one is also is quite ornate. The intricate detail and symmetry displayed here is truly interesting and impressive. I think that the different imaginative patterns are so cool!
Ladies Stocking Images
Here we have a quirky Vintage Stocking Image! This one is from a rare early 1900’s Printer’s book. It is a cute black and white illustration of a long black stocking. I think that it is possibly made of wool, but I’m not certain. The stocking has an old advertisement on it for the maker. The wording on it reads, “Warranted Fast Black.” I suppose it came with a good warranty, but why is it known as “Fast Black?” In the dictionary it states that “Fast Black” refers to a type of dye, so I assume that is what it means.
This is a Vintage Women’s Stockings Ad with Wide Seams. This graphic was scanned from an old Stockings Catalog… the image is of early 1900 stockings or tights with wide seams. It also shows the heels of the ladies pumps.
From the same catalog as the one above, is this picture showing a woman either putting on, or taking off, her shoes.
I hope you enjoyed this fun curated collection of Vintage Ladies Accessories Images!! You might also like the over 60 Images in our Victorian Fashion Archives HERE!

Fast Black: back in the day the issue with black dye was its lack of saturation & permanence. If a dye is not “fast” that means it will fade. It might fade from washing, if the dye doesn’t hold “fast” to the fabric. Then your expensive new black thing is gray instead. The darker the black when it’s new, the likelier the dye job’s “too good to be true.” Worse, before dying your wash-water black, the offending garment would likely get black stuff on everything else it touched, in an era when everyone was super-judgy about looking smudge-free-clean & neat at all times.
So a promise that THIS stocking will stay black after washing, and not get grubby-looking dye on your legs & petticoats is a big deal.
