10 Hand Pointing Finger Clipart
Today we have an remarkable collection of Hand Pointing Finger Clipart! The images featured below are marvelous black and white drawings of hands with pointing finger gestures. I have such a thing for these they are so useful and fun! Back in the day I used these as signs for my shop. Hand Pointing Images work great for pointing out sale items or new merchandise. These would also be great to use in your Steampunk or Halloween projects! They are great to use in your Junk Journals to point to something special or call attention to a pocket or niche. So many fun and clever uses for these. Keep in mind that you can turn any of these hands in any direction, up, down or to the side, or even diagonally if you like, to fit your particular project.
Hand Pointing Finger Clipart
I hope you enjoy these Victorian Pointing Hands. This is a great pair of masculine hands with a pointing finger. I really like the thin shirt cuff and small, round cufflinks. This is an exceptional example of a cross contour line drawing image. Hands are a great subject for a cross contour line drawing exercise. There are so many changes of direction on hands and fingers. It really challenges the artist. The shading on these is pretty spectacular. Handsome indeed!
This one is very similar to the one above, but you can see that his cuffs are slightly different. I’ve turned this one so that this hand is pointing down.
Here is the same one pointing up, in case you are using it in your digital projects and don’t know how to rotate it.
One of my favorite images from the early 1900’s book is the one you see above of the clip art hands, including both the left hand and the right hand. These finger pointing hands were often used in the Victorian era to point out advertising promotions. This pair is probably the best that I’ve seen in terms of detail. The gradations in shade and highlight is pretty amazing. The wonderful antique book that this image came from was written as a reference for advertisers. It’s filled with all kinds of fabulous signs and typography, etc.
This is a Vintage Pointing Hand Image! I am wild about these quirky pointing hand images. So when I found this one in a Circa 1828 Printers book, I was thrilled! I’ve never seen one quite like this before. It has a very unusual ruffled cuff on the wrist, which makes it so interesting and feminine! The scale is a little odd too, with an unusually long, tapered index finger on it. So funny!
Here is the latest addition to this collection. Here we have another man’s hand. His fingers are a bit looser than some of the other poses.
Pointing Hands Signs
Here’s another Vintage Pointing Hand Graphic. I always get a kick out of these! This one includes the words “Please Notice This.” It may have been used as a sign. Now that should get there attention! The clothing detail at the wrist of this one is pretty interesting. You can’t really tell if it is a man’s or woman’s hand. I will leave that up to you to decide. Fun!
Sign Language Ephemera Card
Shown above is a very old piece of Ephemera that was used to display the Sign Language Alphabet. It’s an interesting looking card, with lots of pointy hands on it, and I love the minty color of the paper! I’ve altered the title a bit as the original title was not very nice or politically correct for today.

Karen, these are great! Thanks for sharing. It’s good that there’s a left and right hand – years ago my sister worked for a local council and they had an open day, and they had to stick these pointing hands up everywhere, but they only had right hands! Half the signs therefore had upside down hands and it looked really funny!!
