8 Antique Baby Carriage Images
Today we have a delightful collection of Antique Baby Carriage Images! There are exquisite Antique and Victorian Pram Illustrations in black and white. Each one is so different, and must have transported some pretty special children. Some are wicker and others are leather. Also included is a card from a child’s game set with an adorable pink carriage. All are nice pictures to use in your craft or DIY Projects. I thought they might make a nice invitation for a Baby Shower!
Antique Baby Carriage Images
Here is the newest addition to this collection. This Victorian Wicker Baby Buggy, is just so sweet with it’s intricate Wicker work and fringed Parasol!
This lovely Antique Pram is so very elegant, with it’s delicate decorations, tufted upholstery and scalloped Parasol on top!
Here we have a sweet Antique Baby Carriage! Made of wicker or another woven material, it looks to be pretty sturdy to me! The large bonnet is adjustable and swings to cover either the front or back of the basket. Interestingly, the wheels overlap on this buggy. This one comes from a Circa 1886 Cabinet Maker and Furniture Catalog. I suppose back then you must have purchased these from a Furniture store. Anyway, I thought it was darling!
Pictured above is a pretty fancy Vintage Wicker Baby Carriage Image! Shown is a black and white illustration of an old Victorian Baby Buggy. I love all of the scrolled Wicker work on the body of the pram. The best part of this carriage is the gorgeous Parasol hanging on the top! The back of the carriage has a lovely scallop shell shape. This is an image scanned from a very rare printer’s book in my collection! There’s no date in the book, but my best guess would be that it’s from around the 1880′s.
Featured above is a fun Vintage Baby Carriage Image! This is a black and white illustration of an old Victorian Baby Boy Carriage. I really don’t know if this one is meant for a boy or not, but I thought it looked much more masculine than most of the others that I’ve seen from this time period. It actually looks like a miniature version of an old horse drawn coach. Rich with leather details. The suspended four-
Isn’t this a fun Antique Baby Carriage Picture? Here we have a black and white illustration of an old Victorian Baby Buggy or Stroller. Made for an older child, perhaps this one is for the girl in the family. It appears to be well padded inside. It has some sturdy, possibly wrought iron, scrolled supports for the top. I just love the fringe along the fabric cover of this one, along with the painting on the sides! Adorable!
Old Fashioned Baby Carriage Images
Above we have a darling Vintage Baby Buggy Image. The pink baby carriage above is all decked out. The top even has pink drapery that can be closed or opened to see the child within. Love the pink!! There is gold scrollwork on the sides. This is a card from an antique children’s game with the number 73 on it. How fun is that!
Baby Bassinet Image
This one is not actually a Carriage it’s a Vintage Bassinet Image! But I think it goes well enough in this collection. This is a beautiful Baby Bassinet with ruffles all over, and some big hand tied bows.
I hope you enjoyed this fun curated collection of Images! You might also like the over 50 Images in our Transportation Archives HERE or the 300+ Images in our Objects Archives HERE!

Hi Karen,
These are so interesting to look at! The styles are different and my favourite one is the one with the parasol. This one particularly reminds me of one I saw for sale, believe it or not. I missed out on it, unfortunately.
But do you know how they had it displayed? Inside, they put the most gorgeous flower arrangements in it – the most beautiful presentation I have ever seen and it was displayed in their enclosed sun room. The wicker was all white – the details weren’t as much as this one here is but talk about creativity!
The flowers were of all kinds – some draping over the buggy just in the right places. Some very lucky person bought it before I could view it in person.
I love these images and thanks so much for sharing them with us!
Enjoy your day and keep safe!
