8 Dolphin Images
Today we have a remarkable collection of Dolphin Images. These wonderful creatures are so charming to watch in the wild! The images featured here show a nice variety of dolphin drawings and illustrations. There are several beautiful full color pictures of these graceful mammals swimming. Interestingly, we have a Natural History type image from a 1700s Encyclopedia. There are two versions of this print both in sepia and in black and white. We also have an ornate image with Acanthus accents to round out this set. These would be fun to color. All are nice pictures to use for your Sea themed or Nautical projects! They would all be fun for your Collage or Card Making projects as well!
Full Color Dolphin Images
Here is the latest addition to this collection. This lovely Dolphin has a nicer, more smiley looking face, compared to some of the other pictures on this page. More like how you see them in real life.
Pictured above is is a wonderful Vintage Dolphin Image! She looks very happy while smiling with an open mouth. There are some blue and green tones in this drawing. Isn’t she beautiful?! I love that this one is done in full color! This offering was scanned from a Circa 1860 French Zoology Print!
This is a wonderful Antique Dolphin Picture! Scanned from a rare and early Circa 1790’s German Natural History Print, this image is in my collection! The print has several beautiful Illustrations of Whales and Dolphins. I love the blue-green hombre coloration of this one.
This is another impressive Antique Dolphin Image! The one seen above was also scanned from the rare German Natural History Print! His gut has more gray and greenish-brown tones. There are five stripes that wrap his upper body. The image shows him blowing water from his blowhole. He has a large eye and seems to be smiling.
Black and White Dolphin Clip Art
These are some interesting Vintage Dolphin Images! They were scanned from a Circa 1896 Design book filled with all sorts of fabulous illustrations! The Dolphin at the top is very ornate with an ornamental look and feel. This one appears to be a sort of mythical interpretation of a Dolphin. His fins look like Acanthus leaves. I think he might be a little scary to run into in the water! The second is a line drawing that depicts a more traditional looking version of a Dolphin. He has a more sleek profile than the dolphins that have a bump on their forehead. I think these would be so much fun to color in!
Featured above is a Dolphin image from a very early Encyclopedia circa 1754. I believe this is the oldest paper piece in my collection! I wish you could feel the paper on this one! Anyway, I thought it was interesting how angry and fierce this Dolphin looks! Not at all like the sweet smiley creatures we know and love today.
I hope you enjoyed this fun curated collection of Dolphin Images! You might also like our Best Ocean Images HERE.
