6 Antique Fishing Lure Clipart
Today we have a handsome collection of Antique Fishing Lure Clipart! The images featured below are beautiful black and white graphics. There are three classic feather laced lures along with an artificial Crawfish one. There is even one with an artificial Frog for goodness sake! All are nice – pictures to use in your craft or DIY Projects. They would all be fun for your Collage or Card Making projects as well! I thought these would make a great Card or Gift Tag for someone who might be getting Fishing equipment for the Holidays; they would be great for Father’s Day too!
Vintage Fishing Lure Clip Art
This Vintage Fishing Lures Clip Art Image is another interesting looking one similar to the frog lure. This is another one that was scanned from a rare Antique Printer’s book that dates to Circa 1880’s. This lure looks most likely to be an artificial crawfish. I suppose that it could be a simulated shrimp, but I would suspect that as an antique it was probably more likely to be a freshwater lure as there weren’t very many (if any) saltwater lures dating that far back.
This attractive looking Vintage Fishing Lure Clip Art Image is really fascinating because the decorative feathers look almost like a miniature design of a Native American headdress. In any case, it is definitely a decorative set of feathers. I’ll bet the real-life colors are vibrant and pretty!
Featured above is another Vintage Lure with a metal heart on it. The heart on this one likewise might be either a weight or a ‘shiner.’ It does appear however that there might be a weight underneath the heart with two feathers draped across it. This one would also have been great for long casting and deep water fishing.
Antique Fishing Lure Clipart
Featured above is a stunning Antique Fishing Lure! This old Graphic was scanned from a rare Antique Printer’s book that dates to Circa 1880’s. This is a classic design of a feathered lure with a large hook. Designs like this have been used for over one-hundred years. I am pretty sure that similar ones are still in many tackle boxes even today!
Shown above is another classically designed Antique Fishing Lure. This one has a metal-shaped heart on it with feathers dangling off of the bottom. The heart could be a weight that could have been used to cast farther and maintain the lure in deeper water as it was being reeled in. It also might have been what is known as a ‘shiner,’ which shimmers underwater to attract fish. This type of lure could have been used commonly for bass fishing. The above featured Antique Fishing Lure is designed like a little Frog. This one is really quite interesting, isn’t it?! I don’t think there are many frog lures around today. If there are I haven’t seen them. Perhaps it was quite the lure back in the day!
