Nana’s Christmas Scrapbook Junk Journal

Hey guys, one of our oh so talented Junk Journal Design Team Members, Sheena from Luna Rozu, has created a sentimental Christmas junk journal for us this week. As you know, we bring you one completely new Junk Journal each week created by one of our team of extraordinary artisans. We want you to be inspired to create by this junk journal series! Hello again everyone! It’s me Sheena, from Luna Rozu once again, to bring you my junk journal creation for this month’s The Graphics Fairy design team project. This is my first ever Christmas themed junk journal and it’s called Nana’s Christmas Scrapbook. It features images from The Graphics Fairy Premium Membership site. The bundles I used are: Retro Christmas, Holiday Dogs & Cats, Victorian Christmas, Antique Portraits, and Nostalgic Christmas Illustrations.

This time around, I wanted to create junk journal with a page or two dedicated to a scrapbook style layout. To create the scrapbook portion of the journal I did more than a bit of fussy cutting, throwing in a few pieces of fabric, some safety pins, and even some old buttons. And voilà! I have also added photo corners to the beautiful Victorian photographs to frame them better and make them the centerpiece of the page.

Inside the junk journal, you’ll also find a few images I’ve used as digital stamps. I dressed these with fabric trims, fabric scraps, and sequins to give them more dimension and some sparkle too. You can never have too many sequins for Christmas! Never!

Extra Fun Junk Journal Pages

I’ve also added a mini colouring page with splashes of watercolor, which by the way are actually images from the Watercolor Splotches bundle. I layered these in Photoshop! I wanted to create that ‘watercolor palette’ that you see a lot in bullet journals.

And finally, of course, I just had to include Letters to Santa in this Christmas journal! There are altogether four designs available on the Graphics Fairy Premium Membership site in the Nostalgic Christmas Illustrations bundle. Each one of them comes complete with both the letterhead and an envelope.
