Today we have a frightening collection of Bat Clip Art Images! Eeek! Bats are one of those Halloween essentials, like witches and jack-o’-lanterns. The Bat images featured below are a variety of black and white and full color pictures. These are all high resolution images from Antique and Vintage sources. So nice to use in your Spooky Halloween Craft Projects or Collage Projects!

Bat Images

Is anyone working on Halloween projects yet? Here is a wonderful antique engraved Bat that might work for you! This one is from a huge old Natural History book. Isn’t he fabulous?! And pretty frightening too I might add!

Here’s another one for Halloween; it’s getting a little closer now, isn’t it?! This one also comes from the early Natural History Book. It is an interesting engraving of a Bat with his head turned to the side.

Halloween Bat Clip Art Silhouettes

This one is a wonderful silhouette of a bat! This one is not from my collection, but it is in the public domain, I’ve altered the original to make it more symmetrical and to increase the size to make it more usable. I think it’s such a useful image for those Halloween craft projects

Here’s another Vintage Halloween Bat Image for you! It’s a Bat Silhouette flying past the Moon in the perfect for Halloween colors of orange and black. Cute!

Here we have a Ghost image, with a Bat flying across the Moon behind her head. Or perhaps the ghost is a he? Spooky either way!

Creepy Bat Clip Art Skeletons

Above are some super creepy looking Bat Skeleton Graphics, yet another set from an early Natural History Book! I’m sure they won’t appeal to everyone, but these are great for those who like these types of images for Halloween. The top one is a Bat Skeleton Diagram with wings outstretched, and the lower one is a Vampire Bat Skeleton. Frightening huh?

Bat Images in Scenes

Ok. Call me crazy but …. I actually think these guys are pretty cute looking! They have very sweet looking faces and their noses are so funny. I still wouldn’t want one flying towards my head, but I can easily admire these guys from afar.

Featured above is a Vintage Sleeping Bat Image! In this lithograph a large bat with brown wings wrapped around him produces the look of a blanket. He is hanging upside down from a cave opening. A stone castle with turret is in the background, displaying a pretty blue sky and landscape.

Here’s another little fellow that’s just hanging around! It looks like he’s about to take flight.

Pictured above is a Vintage Flying Bat Illustration! In this lithograph, a bat soars over mountaintops with arms and wings spread wide. You can see the detail of the under wing with brown, black, and blue coloring.

This old Flying Bat Image shows a not so pretty bat juxtaposed against an attractive, colorful background! This guy is flying through the air with his Wings outstretched. He was also scanned from an Antique Natural History Book.

This is an 1840’s print from a Natural History book in my collection. Shown above are some scary Flying Bats, with a Castle scene that has a somewhat haunted appearance in the background!

I think this vintage bat illustration is just so perfect for Halloween! It is a marvelous Flying Bat, with erie looking dark blue-gray eyes and tiny mouth. I surely would not wish to have an encounter with him! This print also has a haunted-looking castle scene with ruins in the background; there is even a Moon!! A second image exclusively of the bat is seen below it.

Ephemera

Here is the latest addition to this collection. Here’s an interesting Ephemera piece! This is a cover to an 1880’s magazine and it fits our theme here nicely!

wow , just love the bat skeletons , i need to make a project just for that , dont know what yet , but thinking of a dining room table from recycled wood , need to find a printer that can do A1 size , me thinks it will look semi gothic , but stunning. tnx
