10 Vintage Style Chicken Clipart
Today we have a charming collection of Vintage Chicken Clipart and Ephemera! These sweet creatures have always been a favorite in our family. My Grandmother had Chickens on her farm and during the Summer, I used to help collect the eggs first thing in the morning, along with my sister and cousins. Below is a mix of color along with black and white illustrations of Roosters and Hens. One also includes precious baby chicks with their Mother Hen. There is an usual Printable Toy Rooster set towards the bottom, that would be fun to play with. All of these would be so cute for Farmhouse Decor or DIY Projects.

Pictured above we have a Mama Hen nestled in some Hay. She has a watchful eye on her along six baby chicks! The babies seem to be going in all different directions at once. This image includes some lovely colors and nice detailed drawings of the feathers, especially of the hen. So sweet!
Here is the latest addition to this collection. Here we have a cute Red Hen walking around in the grass. She’s probably been scratching around in that dirt!
Here’s a sweet little farmyard scene! There are 3 friends hanging out in front of a charming old barn!
This Vintage Chicken Clipart Image is from a fabulous Circa 1854 Poultry Book in my collection. The book is from London and I think it may be a pretty rare one, so it was quite a lucky find! Shown above are a rooster and a hen. They both have greenish black looking feathers and red combs. According to the book these are Spanish Game Fowl. I love the background drawing on this one as well, with a lovely European looking cottage and a wooden fence. Such a charming scene!
This is a charming Chicken Picture showing two happy birds in a meadow. There seems to be quite a steep hill in the illustration, or perhaps they are on a mountain. This one is circa 1850s. I love the rich colors in this one!
This one is a Funny Hen with Eggs Image! Shown above is a funny Lady Hen carrying around baskets filled with Eggs. This one was scanned from an Antique Nursery Rhyme Book.
Black and White Chicken Clipart
This is a fun Vintage Chicken Graphics! It was scanned from an early, Circa 1828, Printer’s book! The Antique engraving shown above feature two hens and a rooster. It looks like the hens are ignoring the big guy or whispering about him. He seems to be aloof to their goings on. How fun is this scene?
Here we have a classic looking Chicken Clipart illustration. We see 2 beautiful birds all done in black and white. Such a great vintage look!
Farmhouse Ephemera Image
I just adore this bit of Vintage Farmhouse Ephemera! This is an old black and white invoice with hints of color in the lines. It is for Farm Fresh Eggs! So cute! The paper shows a delightful farm scene illustration of two chickens. Dr. George H. Mitchell was a “Shipper of Fresh Eggs.” Love the way that is stated. It appears to be from the 1920’s by the date.

This Vintage Printable Toy is a fun an unusual share for you! It was scanned from a Circa 1920 Children’s Activity book. Shown above are two roosters that are made to be cut out. Just download the Printable and print on card stock. If so desired, the roosters can be colored in, cut out, and then attached to the fence with some metal brads. You should be able to swivel them so that they are both eating out of the bowl in the center. So fun!!

Before we moved and downsized 6 yr ago, I used to have some gorgeous chickens in my kitchen. I miss that kitchen. 😀 But in the past year my oldest best friend started raising chickens and I immediately thought of the cool cards I could make for her from these images. I love them myself, and I think she’ll love them too. Thank you so much as always.
