17 Gravestone Clipart
Today we have a creepy collection of Graveyards and Gravestone Clipart! This is such an interesting mix of old and rare pictures. Included in the mix are headstones, graveyards, mausoleums, undertakers, and caskets. Quite a few of these are Vintage Engravings scanned from a rare Antique Marble Company Catalog in my collection. The company made Marble Gravestones or Headstones. All are spooky-type pictures to use in your Halloween Projects or Displays!
Graveyards Clipart
This is an Antique Silhouette from an old Poetry Book. Kind of an odd image, but I thought it might be useful for Halloween! Shown above is a scene of a Gravestone, with a Woman crying over it. So sad really. Surrounding the scene are all sorts of spooky things, like a Skull, some thorny looking branches, and an Owl. The title is “Poems of Sorrow and Death” in a haunted looking font. I’ve created a second version without the woman in case you want a Spooky Scene without the sadness!
Vintage Gravestone Clipart
Featured above is an interesting old Vintage Gravestone Clip Art Image! This Vintage Engraving was scanned from an Antique, Circa 1889, Marble Company Catalog. The company made Marble Gravestones or Headstones.
Here is another interesting old Free Tombstone Clip Art Image! This Vintage Engraving was also scanned from an Antique, Circa 1889, Marble Company Catalog displaying Marble Gravestones or Headstones.
This next Gravestone clipart picture is from the same catalog as the 2 above it. It’s more ornate and decorative than the other 2 with the beautiful cross on it.
This next one is a tall cross stone that has some decorative vines carved into the stone.
Undertaker Advertisement Clip Art
Shown above is a nice Undertaker Advertisement. That seems to be quite an ornamental hearse carriage, perhaps the “Cadillac” of the times! I think that the advertising is splendid the way it pretty much covers all possible items one might need for a funeral, and the “Prices Very Reasonable!” also creates interest in the company.
Here we have another Undertaker Advertisement from an Antique Book showing a fancy carriage with two strong horses pulling it. The slogan “Orders promptly attended to, day or night” indicates that they were really trying hard to do what it took to be a top-notch undertaker. I find it humorous that they also repaired furniture!
Above is a Horse Drawn Hearse image. The two horses have some kind of head covering, maybe feathers. Very fancy. They seem to be prancing in rhythm. The hearse is long with curtains along the sides. The driver has a long whip that seems scary itself. The tires on this wagon are larger in back for some reason.
Spooky Vintage Casket Images
It’s another Casket Image. This one appears to be quite large and has very ornate handles.
Pictured above is a Spooky Vintage Casket Image! Shown is a Wooden Casket with Metal Handles on it. I thought this was awfully creepy looking! This is another image scanned from a very rare printer’s book in my collection! There’s no date in the book, but my best guess would be that it’s from around the 1880′s.
Old Mausoleum Clipart Images
Above is an interesting old Vintage Mausoleum Clip Art Image! This Vintage Engraving was scanned from the Circa 1889, Marble Company Catalog. The attractive mausoleum was obviously built very solidly with stone and marble to stand the test of time. Marble headstones and gravestones were also made by this company.
Here we have another Vintage Mausoleum Image! This one truly has an amazing decorative architectural design, including a tiled walkway around it and a lovely angel on top. It appears to be fortified, as if perhaps to protect the deceased for eternity.
Yet another example of a nicely designed and well built Mausoleum, the final resting spot for a loved one. This Graveyards and Gravestone Clipart is a Vintage Engraving Mausoleum Stock Image from the Marble Company Catalog.
The Vintage Mausoleum Engraving shown above is the final one from the Antique, Circa 1889, Marble Company Catalog. This one almost looks like a tiny house or church! It is also different from the others as it has a lovely cross over the entryway. The intricate, detailed, design and solid construction is fascinating to me!
Cemetery Gate
Here is the latest addition to this collection. This one was scanned from an old Printer’s book. It’s a sort of primitive looking graphic of an old Cemetery gate. There’s a place on the arch, where you could add your own text if you wanted to.
I hope you enjoyed this fun curated collection of Gravestone Clipart! You might also like our Best Halloween Images HERE.

Many furniture makers were also the local coffin providers, so the reference makes sense!

Hi Karen,
I find these advertisements interesting. I would not know about them if I didn’t see them here. The styles of horse-drawn carriages are very classy looking and over top for their designs. It’s something I wasn’t really aware of but I really enjoy the ‘learning curve,’ from past centuries.
The Mausoleums are also very interesting in the various architectural details. They are different from each other but the common thread here is the final resting place for the loved ones. They are unique and obviously, well built!
I enjoy these shares because I find them very educational with the history behind them. Again, it’s something I have learned and always learn from your graphic presentations which I truly appreciate!
Whether some may feel morbid, it’s about the wonderful history of time. It is about life, no matter what century it is. Nobody can erase or ignore the past, right?
Thank you so much for sharing these with us – I appreciate all that you do for us!!
Have a great day and a lovely holiday weekend!

With so many people dead and dying from Covid-19 I think I won’t be using any caskets/cemetery images this year for Halloween.

I completely understand Teddee.

Are those copyrighted??
graphicsfairy says
Hi Gen,
As far as we know, the images are in the Public Domain, we do our due diligence and we are very careful about what we use, however we can not give you a 100% guarantee. We have never had a problem with copyright and these images have been manufactured all over the world, appeared in nearly every home decor magazine out there, and are even used by a major motion picture studio.
But you will still want to weigh the risks and decide if you are comfortable with using them or not. There is always a small risk when using these things, as the laws are different in every country. You can read more about Copyright info in the US. here http://copyright.cornell.edu/resources/publicdomain.cfm and outside of the U.S. here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries%27_copyright_lengths
I hope that helps!

It was so awesome to open your Friday Freebies e-mail today and discover some local advertising ephemera for Trumansburg & Syracuse, NY! I live 8 miles from the charming village of Trumansburg, in the heart of the Finger Lakes Region. I graduated from T-burg High School many many moons ago 🙂 Thank you for all you do!
