Classic Garden Urn Images
Here is a beautiful Classic shaped Urn image. It is an open urn or vase. The top rim has egg and dart decoration. The bottom of the bowl has an elongated leaf design. The pedestal is without decoration. It is scanned from an 1850’s Catalog!
Above is a lovely engraving from the same 1850s catalogue. This classic shaped urn is fairly unadorned except for the perfect symmetry of acanthus leaves accentuating the bottom. Featured above is another Urn with a classic body shape. It is open at the top with interesting U Shaped designs on the side and the base. Lovely. Here we have a fancy vase with an unusual shape. The bottom portion has a normal urn shape, but the top adds another smaller vase shape. The side of this engraving is decorated with olive branches hanging from a shell like design. It almost looks like a snail to me.
Antique Trophy Urn Illustrations
I hope you like this unusual black and white urn that looks like a trophy or loving cup. I didn’t realize before scanning that it had Snake handles. So if you are in need of a Snake handled Urn image… then I guess today is your lucky day!
The details of this trophy vase /urn image are wonderful. There is an embossed edge at the bowl and scallops at the base of the engraving from the old 1850’s catalogue. This vase is smaller and wider than the other urns in this section. The intricate carved leaf details on the bowl and at the base are superbly crafted. Very nice.

Pictured above is a Vintage Ornate Urn Image!! Shown is a Black and White Line Art Illustration of a fancy Urn! The urn has lots of scrolls along with a face and swags carved on it. Scanned from an Antique Design book, it is quite impressive.
Displayed here is another detailed Black and White Line Art Illustration of an Antique urn! The Urn has some Grecian dancing People on it and a lovely fluted base.
Urn Images for Coloring
Here we have a delightful Vintage Line Art Garden Urn! Scanned from an Antique Children’s Coloring and Painting Book, it is a wonderful drawing of a Classic Shaped Garden Urn. The Urn is quite tall with lovely ornate decorations on it.
Full Color Urns with Flowers Images
Swoon! I am so in love with this title page of an early (circa 1851) rare book, called “The Poetry of Flowers.” Can’t get over how gorgeous this is! I was so happy to acquire it so that we can all use it! The classic lines of the urn with the profusion of flowers trailing around it I especially love. The wonderful typography is the icing on the cake. I couldn’t resist providing two versions, because I just had to play with this image a bit. At the top is a version that has been cleaned up a little, while the one at the bottom is nearly in its original form with charming torn edges and all. I hope you all like this one as much as I do!
Featured above is a beautiful cement garden structure. It’s quite ornate and has a lid with a finial on it. The scene is quite dreamy and it looks as if it might be in a secret garden. Lovely!
This is the latest addition to this collection. This next garden planter is made of Ivory colored cement, or perhaps it’s some type of clay. It’s quite decorative. I love the soft muted tones of this picture!
This one is a pretty little card with a scripture from Proverbs quoted on it. The card features an urn filled with alluring colorful, beautiful flowers, including some pink and red Roses! The card reads, “The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.”
Garden Urn Graphic
The lovely garden style engraving above comes from an 1884 Housekeeping book that Miss Mustard Seed lent me. This one shows a picturesque iron garden urn, overflowing with foliage. I love the gnarly looking stump it’s sitting on too. Very interesting and attractive!

Hi Karen,
I think I’d love to have all of these garden urns in my backyard! I love the ones in colour – and the flowers are just sitting so perfectly in them. That ‘Secret Garden’ one is still my favourite – and I really admire the ones below it. I also love the black and white iron urn – it’s so pretty. Thanks again for taking the time to share these with us!
I thought I’d better pop in now as I will be leaving to go to my friend’s place in Michigan, spending 4 days over there, enjoying their company, doing some shopping and just enjoying this lovely summer weather.
Have a wonderful weekend!
